My partner and I love these weekend updates. Thanks Joy for fighting the good fight and thanks Dave for providing the platform to discuss it. These election updates over the last two months have been fabulous.

I am so grateful for and inspired by the work Joy is doing in WI….and I’m learning so much from these updates. (I’m doing what I can in Virginia and North Carolina from a distance, two places where I “growed up” and have strong connections.). P. S. Is more help needed on the Go Fund Me (or by other means) in order to extend Joy’s stay?? Dave, I feel for your work situation, and hope you’re able to work out a balance that keeps you physically and mentally healthy…and still doing at least *some* of your personal creative work, which is so meaningful to me. Hang in there…and be gentle with yourself, when possible.

After listening to this one, I finally signed up to volunteer for get out the vote/ongoing democrat registration efforts!

Joy o Napping

Omg amazing!! Lmk if I can help you get oriented at all - what state are you in?

Joy o Napping

Thank you!! We are definitely fine from a cost standpoint. It turns out Madison, Wisconsin, in late fall is more affordable than, say, a last minute trip to Disney :)

Carole M

Thank you! I’m in Texas, so for right now I found a few opportunities to text/phone bank for swing states for Field Team 6, but I’m open to switching it up if there are specific organizations I should go through that would be more impactful

Nizar B

Y'all these updates really are very special and inspiring, so thank you both for making time in your otherwise relentless schedules. It got dusty in the room when Joy mentioned missing Dave. Much love to y'all!

Joy o Napping

Field Team 6 has a very good reputation. In addition, there is a Philadelphia specific phone banking opportunity that is super high impact. Let me post a link for the signup and TikTok on background info. This is for ballot curing - helping people in an extremely blue city whose mail in ballot is at risk of being lost or canceled. They are very happy to hear from volunteers

Carole M

Thank you Joy! Really appreciate your time on this amidst all your other efforts. I hope you find a fancy coffee machine middle ground for your hotel room.

Rira

Can’t wait to canvas with you, Joy! So appreciate all the groundwork you’ve done to make volunteering so easy!

When it comes to amazing people, you two are a power-couple. As a Wisconsin resident I can't thank you enough for the work you are doing. You and Dave are a continuous inspiration. I'm glad to hear everything is going well. These updates make my face hurt from smiling - so very much appreciated. Thank you!!!

Samson Lee

Thanks Joy and Dave for embarking on this venture and documenting it as well! Joy, you mentioned in the previous update that the ground game strategy for the Republican side of the race is different or maybe nonexistent? Maybe I'm in the minority but would really like to hear your thoughts on why that is and/or what's going on with the other side. Anyway, really admire all the work you're putting into this campaign.
