Of the many things I’m grateful for as this year ends, the conversations that you two share with your supporters on here are definitely up there! Your smart, searching insights and reflections, generously shared, have been helpful and influential to me personally, in ways that are hard to describe or convey. I feel less alone as a result, so I send sincere gratitude to you and to this community. [Side note: wow, that pic of Carter’s Yule log!! I admit I’m just not into Dune, as I’ve never had a taste for speculative fiction & fantasy. I had a girlfriend once who was DEVOTED to the Dune series, and my inability to get through more than a few chapters may have been one of the reasons things didn’t work out with us. Well, that and the fact that I eventually realized I’m gay! 🙂 Happy New Year, y’all!]

Always great to hear updates from you both! These have quickly become my favorite podcasts to listen to this year. Love the politics updates, Dave’s career achievements, Joy’s political activism, and media reviews from both of you. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. I’m jealous of the incredible Chinese food from Dave’s mom and the Taiwanese catering. Each year the food seems to be a highlight. Once again, voicing my appreciation and support for your continued Covid precautions and warnings about Long Covid (so glad to hear Joy was able to achieve massive strides in recovery during her first 6 months). As a longhauler myself it makes me feel less alone in my community knowing there are others that care and simply “get it.” Wishing you both a happy new year and many more happy milestones. ❤️
