Really excited for a new episode of expat files!

Looking forward to this episode. I’m curious as an NFL fan…I didn’t know Dave was rooting for the Seahawks. Thought he would root for the Pats as someone raised as a Boston guy 😂 Also I assume Joy is the bigger sports fan. Did you have an NFL team before moving to Seattle? IIRC you’re not Seattle raised. Just a fan wondering and hope you can answer 😊 As a Jets fan I’m glad the Seahawks won!

I only started watching NFL in Seattle! I was really more into basketball, tennis and figure skating for decades. I feel like 20% of the US was rooting for the Seahawks and another 60% against the Patriots :)

Nice! Super nice you also got Dave to root against his home team! I know he is more of a “casual fan” but still 😂

I use too good to go! It’s great but it’s very important to know which stores on the app are good and which are bad in terms of the mystery bag contents, so it takes some trial and error. You should definitely give it a try with Pizza Hut!

Rira

Please try good to go Pizza Hut and report back, lol

I really liked and appreciated your thoughtful take on what is currently happening in the US. It was insightful and gave me a lot to think about what it looks like from your standpoint. On a more positive note, who would have thought that in 2026 a left wing politician could win an election in Portugal? 🇵🇹 PS I hope the weather in Europe starts improving soon. This has been the worst winter I have experienced in the past 15 years here in Central Europe. You certainly have chosen a challenging winter to move here..

have you started following any local soccer clubs?
