Hi Patrons! I hope this Memorial Day weekend finds you well.  'Top Gun: Maverick' was an exhilarating theatrical experience. It's also probably one of the best instances of a "Legacyquel" that I can think of.

In the above video, I break down what I thought this movie did well, and what it represents as part of Tom Cruise's career (as well as for movies in general). Hope you enjoy and as always, thanks for your support!

Same Dave, same. I had a blast seeing this movie and everything you mention towards the end of your video is right on the nose…this is a fun movie to see in theaters. What was particularly cool about my showing was that there was a big group of our local Air National Guard pilots (some of whom fly Raptors) and their families in our theater so it was cool to over hear them talk about the film afterward.

I must admit I got a little aroused the first time the f18 jet engines on screen powered up and the nozzles flared open and my Dolby cinema seats rumbled. that alone was worth the price of admission to me. I also got a little emotional at seeing Tony Scott's name at the very end. wish he could have directed this movie.

This movie was a great example of why we still need movie theaters and real human heroes in them!

Top Gun Maverick and Creed are without a doubt the best Legacyquels. I think I like Creed more than Maverick because I'm more emotionally attached to the Rocky series. However, given I never really cared for Top Gun, it says a lot for Maverick that I loved it and what it accomplished.
