Hi everyone, I am in the process of thinking about Christmas (I know, I know but it's normal for product creators to have Christmas all sorted even earlier than this) and I would like to create a 'paint your own 2025 calendar'. I have plan for the monthly paintings but I wanted to ask you a few questions on the finer details.

1: If you bought this calendar would you prefer to have the monthly tutorial released on the first of each month or to have all 12 available from the start? I am planning on having a private playlist of filmed tutorials.

2: I plan to have the painting at the top half of each sheet, and the bottom with the calendar details. Do you prefer a grid box or a line per day?

3: If there was an option to have this as a perpetual calendar (useable for multiple years) would you prefer that to just a 2025 only calendar?

4: Any other comments!

Could you comment below using the 1,2,3,4 Bullet points to correspond your answers!

Thank you!

The overwhelming consensus is that we have the tutorials ready for you all at once and a grid calendar. I was really interested to hear how some of you would want to paint it all and then give it as a gift. You’re such a lovely bunch!

It was a bit more split on whether we do 2025 or perpetual so there is a chance we do two types. Thank you so much for your input. It’s lovely to include you in our decision making process as you are so inportant to us! Watch this space!

1. First of each month, as it would be something to look forward to at the beginning of each month. 2. Grid box. 3. 2025 only calendar, as I think it would be a really nice idea to have a calendar for each year. 4. I absolutely LOVE this idea!

Miki

1. All at once 2. Grid box 3. Perpetual 4. Looking forward to this project!

Gigi

I enjoy the grid. If you want to release all at once fine. Perpetual calendar sounds interesting too.

Meg

1: I think I’d prefer all 12 months at once in case I wanted to paint this as a gift. 2: Grid 3: It would be lovely to look forward to painting a new one each year, though that’s a lot of work for you! 4: I love this idea and look forward to painting whatever version you create!

Valentina

Hi Harried, what a lovely idea! 1. All at once before the start of 2025 2. Grid box 3. Just for 2025. I would love to do a different one every year! :D

Hello Harriet! 1) I like the idea of a monthly release - similar to your advent calendar dates. One thought is to stagger your month of release. Example: release January in December so there isn’t as much pressure to paint it the first day or two of the month in order for it to be usable. 2) Grid 3) 2025 - we’ll be eager for new monthly content in 2026 😊 4) How will you size this? I have a monthly card calendar on my desk now that is 4.5” x 6.5” portrait that stand in a little wooden slotted base. Watercolor paper will stand nicely too. Simple number grid, Sun-Sat format. 🩵

1) I would like to do it all at once so it’s ready for the year 2) line 3) just 2025 Love this idea!

Snaidis

3) please only 2025. I love the Adventskalender. I don't paint every day, but I watch the video late and it cheers me up and eases my mind... It's Therapie!

Susan Bricker

1. All 12 at once 2.Grid 3. 2025. I look forward to a new one each year 4.I love whatever you create!! Thank you so much for your passion, expertise and time helping other creatives.

Kathy Nielsen

1 release all at once 2 just 2025, but make it so you could take it apart to frame the individual painting 🖼️ .after you use the calendar. 3 Grid

Jo navin

1 All at once (it'd be lovely to give as a gift) 2 Line 3 Perpetual (although I do love the comment above about being able to frame). 4 What a great idea Harriet, I know your designs will be amazing! Please can I ask if the pages will be available as pdf too? Just asking because it'd take the pressure off if I make a mistake! ;)

Jo navin

Oh also, when are you thinking of releasing this please?

Amanda Stratton

1.My internet failed!!it would be nice to be able to use the calendar again

Christie P

Excellent idea! Very excited you are doing this Harriet!

Christie P

1. Monthly 2. Grid 3. Just 2025

Juliette V

Great idea, my family have been asking me for ages to paint a calendar where we could put the family's birthdays so a perpetual calendar would be great ! 1. All 12 tutorials from the start 2. A line per day 3. Perpetual calendar 4. if there could be options for the border (if there is one?) that would be great!

Barbara Colour

1. I'm a slow painter so I'd prefer to have the tutorials long before 2025, like 1 every 14 days between now and the first of January 2. A grid 3. Yes a perpetual calendar would be great! 4. Is there anything related to Christmas in this request ? You won't do only Christmas paintings in this calendar, won't you ? 😊 5. Will be those tutorials an extra to pay in addition to our monthly bill ?

Sharon Dobbs

Monthly painting….grid boxes. I would like to do this every year, so no perpetual calendar, instead….different tutorials from you each year!

Carina 🌸

Great idea Harriet! 1. All 12 tutorial available from the start 2. A line per day 3. Perpetual calendar

kaneez merali

All 12 at once and perpetual would be awesome!

Stacey N.

1- Release all at once, so we can paint at our own pace, and possibly present finished product as special gifts. 2- grid, only because I can't wrap my mind around a line a day hanging wall calendar. 3- If it's something you're planning to do annually, then 2025. If you're thinking this is a one time project, then make it a perpetual. 4- Thank you for considering our input. 🥰

Alison Gammon

I think the option for a perpetual calendar would be good, then if you start it but don't finish it, then you could use it for another year. Also if the tutorials were released in advance then organised people could paint them as Christmas gifts. (I am not talking about myself here😂!) If you were to release them all at once, then people could paint them at their own pace, but that will be more work for you in one go! Lovely idea thank you!

Rosa Aranguren

Love the idea of a perpetual calendar!

Shirley LeMay

1. All tutorials from the start but as others have mentioned, release the tutorials in early December for those who want to give as a completed gift. 2. grid, but keep the days of the week headings empty so we can write them in (UK week starts on Monday, US week starts on Sunday) 3. Just 2025

Julie Gray

Brilliant idea!! 1. Would love them all available early Dec so I can maybe give it as a gift (but see my comment on perpetual calendar below) but definitely prefer to have them all available at the start. 2. Grid would be my preference 3. perpetual calendar would be my preference, or at least able to make it for any year I like. Just a thought, if I am painting it in 2025, it would be good to have it as my 2026 calendar if that makes sense? i.e. paint it throughout 2025 ready to use the following year 4. I love your development ideas, you put so much effort into your tutorials and Patreon content, which is brilliant. Thank you.

Margaret

1. All at the start. 2. Line a day. 3. Just for 2025 Xxx

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. Perpetual 4. Thank you for planning this!!! I had already mentioned to my husband the idea of creating a perpetual calendar that I could paint and give as gifts. I would love to work on this with you as my guide!!!

Patricia Maraia

Perpetual calendar - releasing them all at once is a good idea to help prepare. Thank you for asking. Much appreciated.

Rachel Clark

As someone who has to plan several weeks out for kids’ activities, work travel, etc., I would prefer to have them all released at once. If you decide to do one per month, please release them two months in advance so it can be painted and then filled in with appointments/etc. I’d prefer boxes for the reasons mentioned above, but I do generally use my calendar for appointments and not just a reference to the date/for annual events.

Kathleen

1. All at once please. 2. Grid 3. Either 4. Thank you!

Brigitte Smeulders

1. monthly 2. grid boxes 3. only 2025 Thanks a lot Harriet for this wonderful idea

Dee R

1. Releasing them about mid-month ahead would be good 2. Grid 3. 2025 (although I don’t exactly know how a perpetual one would look) 4. Regardless of what the decision is, I am all in.

Jayne

This is very exciting Harriet! Thank you! I would say: 1. All at once 2. Grid Boxes 3. 2025 only.

Holly Geary Brooks

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. Perpetual (you could release new tutorials each year) 4. definitely would like the painting at the top of the page

Kim Harvey

1, All at once please

Kim Harvey

2)Grid, 3) 2025, many thanks

Erin Berlin

1. All at once 2. Grid like a "normal" calendar 3. 2025 OR This could be fun as a perpetual "special occasions" calendar for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Also, I am SOOOOOO glad you're doing this! I've been hoping for this for a couple years now!

AMRabideau

Hi Harriet, I love this idea! 1. Release all at once 2. Grid 3. Perpetual Thank you!

Teresa Collard

What a fabulous idea. 1. I would like them released as one. I would live to paint a few for gifts, if it is before Christmas. 2. I prefer grids. 3. I would love a perpetual calendar. It would be great to be able to display it longer. I love this idea. However, I am in whatever way you decide to go.

Mary Bailey

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. 2025

Debbie

Hello Harriet !

Debbie

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. 2025 4. Were you thinking you might sell a floral calendar (vertical, long one) as you used to do? I'm hoping this is an annual calendar, not a Christmas calendar for Advent. Love your work !!!

Isidora Mohr

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. 2025 4. Internacional Delivery (to Chile) 🇨🇱 😁

Debra Cimino

Love it! 1. All in one 2. Prefer grids 3. Perpetual calendar Thank you ♥️

Vicki Cabak

1. All from the start, as early as possible 2. Grid 3. 2025 5. Love this idea

Jan Richards

Great idea. 1. All released at once…perhaps early enough in the season that the paintings could be done and used as a holiday gift. 2. Grids would work best so calendar would be “hung” and enjoyed. A line a day implies personal use. Could it be an either/or option, or is that just too much? 3. Perpetuals calendars are lovely, and means the calendar would have much longevity. It also provides flexibility to use the same template each year (for your purposes), and following years you simply provide the watercolor tutorials to fit the calendar. Sorry if this is TMI…

Jenn Bauer

All at once Grid Either

Lilias

I really like this idea and have been hoping you’d do something - thanks 1. All at once - that way it can be given as a present 2. Grid 3. Either 4. Happy to go with whatever you choose as this is brilliant 💕

Jyothi Hebbar

1. All at once sounds like a great idea 2. Grid 3. Perpetual Thanks Harriet 🧡

Marybeth Fee

1. All at once 2. Lines 3. Perpetual Thank you!

Pat

All at once so I could give it as a gift. People who would prefer one at a time could choose to wait and watch one each month.

Pat

2. Grid. 3. 2025 so we could make a new one each year.

Tracy Mellor

1: all 12 from the start 2: grid 3: perpetual 4: thank you for doing this!

Sharon Supple

1. All at once 2. Grid 3. 2025 (I could get confused, sigh!) 4. Yah, for actually getting started now. I take forever to perfect my Christmas/Holiday card. So happy to start early.

Liz Kirkindoll

You are such a blessing, Harriet! I hope that you know how important you are to us!

Janet O'Connor

I love this idea! 1. All at once 2. Either -I like both. 3. Perpetual This could be fun to put together. Thank you!

Leah

Love this idea! 1. All at once 2. Grid 3. Yes, perpetual would be awesome! 4. I also think it would be a good idea to do a 12-painting set without a calendar. I did something similar as a gift once, 6 mini seasonal paintings that are intended to be swapped out depending on the month or time or year! But a calendar would be very cute too

Maria b

What a great idea, Harriet!! I would go for 1-monthly tutorial, 2-grid, 3- 2025. 😊

Linda Whalen

1-all at once 2 grid 3 2025 Thank you!!
