Dear Patrons, it's the worst kept secret that I've been creating a reverse colouring book in October this year. It's finally had its official announcement and pre-orders are open!

And here is a link specifically for US Amazon

What is reverse colouring?

Reverse colouring is a trend that’s been growing in popularity around the world: a book of abstract, colourful pages that you can draw and doodle all over, picking out shapes and patterns. Before you know it you've created line and wash masterpieces no matter your drawing ability.

It's a bit like looking at the sky on a cloudy day and spotting shapes in the clouds. But with a pen.

My book ‘Draw Your Way’, features more than 80 beautiful watercolour backgrounds for you to draw over and engage with. Perfect for those seeking a few minutes of mindfulness, DRAW YOUR WAY’s easily-usable format offers more readers than ever the opportunity to escape into my charming botanical world whether you're a keen artist or have never picked up a pen to draw.

Reverse Colouring is extremely relaxing, just like watercolour. But unlike watercolour it seems appealing to even the least creative person. I'm so excited to welcome in even more people to the joy of creating!

Is there someone you know who could do with a mindful moment?

If you have any further questions, please comment below!

Tomorrow, Ant and I are going to show you exactly how it works in a Youtube video. We're offering the Youtube audience a free download of a single page from the book to try out their imaginative doodles. But as my Patrons you always get something extra. I have attached four different pages from the book for you to download, print off and enjoy having a go at this reverse colouring phenomenon.

Try it out and let me know what you think. If you want to share your pages on social media you are very welcome to. I would appreciate it if you could copy and paste the following caption onto your post:

I'm trying out Harriet de Winton's brand new reverse colouring book 'Draw Your Way: Botanical Watercolour' out on 10/10/24, but is available for pre-ordering now. Perfect for those seeking a few minutes of mindfulness. #drawyourway

When creating the book I tried out pages on all sorts of people; my 7 year old niece, an 18 year old daughter of a friend, stressed out on exams, a few tired parents and a few fellow creatives. Between this range of people, they all looked a little confused as I explained it but the moment they took a pen in their hand and started doodling on the page, you could see the stress and strains of the world ebb away as they all lost themselves in the flow of drawing. Some scribbled, some coloured, some created mythical creatures and some drew beautifully neat flowers. All so different but all so happy.

Hi Karen, I'm not sure the exact name of the paper but we tested different types before settling on the one my publisher uses for all its activity books and it works really well for drawing
