Hello everyone, thanks so much for your suggestions, I got on with the filming using your requests but didn't update the post here. I think you can see that October has been a busy month and led me to not be quite as sharp with my posting here. Anyway, we have one more week of October tutorials so there are still one or two surprises in store.

October tutorials:

Heirloom Pumpkins

Terrarium

Witches Hats with metallic silver detail

Simple loose watercolour pumpkins

Acorns and Oak Leaves

Haunted house (this week)

Chestnuts (Watercolour challenge on Patreon this week)

Fox and crow in a witches hat (this week)

Donna Harris (YodaMama)

I do not celebrate Halloween but I love pumpkins with haystacks and maybe scarecrows.

Nicola Archbold

Hey Harriet, hope you had a lovely trip. I would like to suggest a witch’s cabinet/shelf with potions, spell books maybe even having a broomstick resting by it x

Gillian moreton

I love seeing pumpkins either in front windows of houses or around their front door looks magical

Stew Hall

Ooh and old Edwardian style house with a mysterious figure in the window or a candelabra with lit candles and a dark background

Katherine

I would love to see chestnuts 😊🌰

Ana Bechara

Can we please paint a Reef? (I could provide picture or video of a marine tank)

Laura Boxberg

I would love to do figs! (fruit & leaves)

Megara Sheffer

Spooky Halloween illustrations and woodland animal tutorials , please

Sharon Rowe

Love the suggestion of the witches potion closet! How about a collection of pumpkin, black cat, witch’s hat, broom, spider etc using your new line & wash approach (ala Oktoberfest). Hoping your time in Yellowstone and Montana was magical 🦬

Sue

Hope you had a fantastic trip. I would love a small pumpkin patch on a dusty country road with fall foliage.

Jet

Techniques please I can never get enough…Thanks.

Kathleen

People on a hay ride. Rainy road with leaves swirling around. Football game scene (small, like high school!). Yellowstone is so beautiful! Hope you had a great time!

Kate Knapp

A fox in a witch's hat. I would love trick-or-treaters dressed up as ghosts on a fall sidewalk. Basket of apples in an orchard. Jack-o-lanterns on a stoop with a black cat. Witch on a broom against a full moon. I love this season so much!

Jayne Ellis

Fly agaric mushrooms 😊

Erin Berlin

Welcome back! I can't wait to hear all about your big adventure! I wanna paint Yellowstone!

Sophie

A typical American village / country town you came across while travelling? (I bet you had a fantastic time! Who looked after the dogs, though?)

Dee R

A fall color leaf wreath with maybe dried corn husks, fall flowers and pine cones, etc. this could maybe be a frame for a quote, or a picture as a gift.

Shani Chee

Loose painting of fruits/veg. (Eg. the bunch of radish you did you youtube). That was a lot of fun.

Cheryl Gibbs

As a nod to Halloween, a haunted house under a dark moody (blacks and purples) sky with a full moon and bats flying by. The windows would have an orange eerie glow and maybe a silhouette of a witch in one window, rats crawling along the roof line and a wolf off to the side howling at the moon. Can we fit a vampire in somewhere/ Too much?

Stew Hall

A skull that is decorated with flowers?

Wyonne Metcalf

I'm looking forward to seeing what's next, Harriet. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents.

Helen Curtis

Euonymus planipes, or spindle tree fruits. Rich reds, pinks and orange.

Sharmon A Youngblood

I like the idea of a haunted house!! Dark and moody, with spindly trees and maybe a headstone or two.

Uta

Autumn leaves floating in a pond. Maybe with some ducks or a pheasant included in the scenery.

Susan Ing

An autumn woodland scene with animals and different leaves, leaves floating in a puddle. Perhaps a close-up bat ?
