With my first post of this kind my camera has been jam packed with things following our trip in Yellowstone. I promise that you will be seeing the sketchbook in full on YouTube in the coming weeks but I thought I'd include one here.
Yellowstone Diorama/Tunnel book: This is your first glimpse of our brand new 3 part watercolour challenge! Inspired, of course by my travels, we're crafting this lovely paper sculpture. I wanted to create a tunnel book, it ended up a bit more of a diorama as it doesn't concertina out as much as I had imagined but I'm sure you will all create beautiful pieces in the coming watercolour challenges. If you want to upgrade to Sweet Pea for this tutorial (set of three weeks) then just go to your membership and edit it.
Draw Your Way with pens! I've spent the afternoon uploading the new products in our shop which includes this pen set and book bundle. I'm nervously awaiting launch day on the 10th. It's a very big day in UK publishing when all the books that are going to have a go at the Christmas market are launched.
Arran: This gin bottle illustration is from a time when I used to paint multiple gin bottle themed seating plans for weddings. I revisited this image this week as a bride from years ago asked to buy prints of the bottles from her wedding table plan to have up in their kitchen.
Slough Creek Little Sketch book landscape: This is a painting of the moment we saw a wolf! Or did we? It was a tiny dot on the horizon and so there is a tiny dot in the painting, the quickest animal painting I ever did!
January Calendar Page: Before we went away my last big job was to paint and film all the pages of our paint your own 2025 calendar. Here is a scan of January for the most sneaky of peeks!
Cheltenham Lit Fest: This wonderful girl drew with her imagination in full flight all over a printed page from my reverse colouring book 'Draw Your Way'. It was my first time taking the book out into a public workshop and any nerves I had evaporated when I saw how immediately she, and every other attendee enjoyed themselves. It was also lovely to meet Patron Linda at the event!
