The Manor at Castle Combe

I don't do that many weddings these days so it's been a real pleasure to paint this wedding venue illustration for a stationery suite that I'll be putting together this week. I filmed the process so will create a little short video for you!

Half a bridge

I'll let you in on a secret... sometimes when I'm painting to a tight deadline and I have a symmetrical item I only paint half as I can duplicate it and flip over in Photoshop to create the full piece. This bridge is a classic case in point.

Cowboy Boot

This boot was one of the little illustrations in our October watercolour hang out. It's the only time I've kept painting after the timed deadline passed as I was keen to keep glazing layers on top. I'm really pleased with the shine on this boot!

Nails!

I've decided to look after myself a little bit more so I'm now getting into the routine of having my nails done. You'll see the results in my Youtube and Patreon videos!

On Youtube this Week!

We are launching the Paint Your Own Botanical Watercolour Calendar to the public tomorrow and to accompany that video I have done a little Poppy in a vase to give a good example of the level of painting in the tutorials. It's also a nice project for Remembrance Sunday.

On Patreon

We are doing something new and exciting for the Patreon watercolour challenges. We're painting a pattern featuring simple scandi huts, plants and animals but once we've painted it over 2 weeks we will be doing a lesson on scanning and digitising the artwork!

Fun with Friends

I had a day in London watching new musical Hadestown with lovely friends on Saturday. I'm so grateful for these days out and I get my fix of the big city!
