From My Camera Roll (Patreon)

This week I have been in full hibernation mode. Partly due to a huge workload, and partly due to the weather! We finally had snow! Wonderful when you dont have anywhere to be!

Aspen Trees

I'm not a big fan of masking fluid but I had the opportunity to play around with it this week and create this aspen forest. I really enjoyed layering it up on top of painted layers to create an increasingly shadowy forest. It's so good to stay curious and be surprised by what you thought you knew!

Cup of tea

Our livestream was a great session for anyone who's interested in glazing. It's a technique I've been studying a lot recently and I love to try it out in all sorts of patreon sessions to be able to share my findings with you. Well done everyone for a great session and you can watch the recording here. (cherry blossom tier)

Pyrrol Orange

I am becoming a bigger fan of Daniel Smith paints each year. This colour is wonderful and plays a key role in the glazing livestream

Wedding stationery

It was a rare occasion to be assembling wedding stationery this weekend. I love having the variation in this job. I've never had a painting printed onto vellum before but it looks fantastic as a wrap around the rest of the stationery.

Watercolour hang outs 1 & 2

Inspired by the snowfall at home, I loved painting these ski scenes in the watercolour hang out. If you would like to watch the recording you can do so here! (wild rose and cherry blossom)

Keeping everyone fed

Squirrels are technically pests but we have a soft spot for a few young squirrels in our garden. Ant caught this lovely photo of a particularly fluffy one stocking up at the bird feeder. If the squirrels stay too long we employ Crumble to usher them along so the birds can have a feed too.

Lovely views

The peaceful blanket of white was accompanied by beautiful blue skies this week. Ant was in his element with some lovely photography which I had to share with you. This is a metal bird silhouette we were given years ago. It's rusted over the years and looks better than ever!

Youtube this week!

This week we have a lovely bookmark and a bit of winter sun!
