This is a lovely flower which has a slightly challenging appearance with the foreshortened petals in the front. I still find them a bit tricky so don't give up, just paint plenty and you will start to get the hang of it.

When the piece is completely dry, rub out any visible pencil with the hard eraser.

Colours I used: Cadmium Yellow, Permanent Rose, Cobalt Blue Deep, Imperial Purple, Yellow Ochre, Green Gold, Paynes Grey, Sap Green

Brushes I used:  Pointed round Size 2/0, 4/0

Paper: Cold Pressed Frisk

You will also need an hb pencil and eraser

I am really enjoying this series. Can you tell me how big the squares are that you are painting in?

Stacy

Thank you for the mini floral tutorials! How many 2x2 squares do you have on the watercolor paper? Thank you 😊

I'm not sure, as I don't have it to hand but the paper is 9x12 inches so the squares are slightly more like rectangles. Just see how many you can fit on your paper.

Thank you
