Hi everyone, today we are doing another session on digitising your art and then turning them into stickers! This tutorial does not require a Cricut (or equivalent) but I'm sure those of you in possession of one will do some very cool stuff with these digitised paintings. I've chosen to use our miniature flower paintings but you could use any of your paintings!

You will need:

Your painting to scan

hard board card to flatten the painting in the scanner

Epson WF7840

Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper

small detail scissors

Access to a computer with Photoshop 2025

Something to stick your stickers on to!

I hope you have fun with this, I can't wait to see what you stick your stickers on to! Don't forget to share your finished pieces on Discord and social media.

Thank you Harriet, this is lovely! I like the cosy tea light at the end!

Thanks Harriet! This was really helpful and I can apply these techniques to other paintings of mine that I may want to get printed! I use Affinity Photo 2, which has a VERY similar interface to Photoshop (just without the subscription); for anyone who does use Affinity Photo 2 the healing tool is known as a 'healing brush tool', the magic eraser is a 'background erase tool', and the contiguous thing.... well that's the same but hopefully this may help anyones AP2.

Thank you! Another clever idea Harriet and the familiarization tour of photoshop was very cool, the texture of watercolor paper is a problem in card scanning too.

Woot woot! Thank you! I will be doing this today! In the crafting world we call this "fussy cutting" and it s how we cut out stamped designs before Cricut and Silhouette. I used to be so good at it. Haha! I will be setting up my Silhouette Cameo to cut some later today. Thanks!

I ve been using a VERY old Photoshop... like ancient. Lol. My software geek friend just told me about Affinity Pro and I'm going to try it out. Adobe raised the subscription prices just as I was about to sub to PS. Oy!

Stew Hall

Yeah… I wasn’t keen on paying a subscription and researched what I could use instead and Affinity Photo 2 came up. You pay once and it’s yours and it is amazing! I would recommend it
