Hi everyone, this is a little, limited series for October of 15 minute postcard paintings that I've created in a quick cut for social media. However, just like the mini flowers (which are not done yet!) we've got the long form version for Patrons!

Colours I used: Alizarin Crimson Permanent Orange Hansa Yellow Medium Green Gold Burnt Sienna Raw Sienna Moonglow

Brushes I used: Size 8,6,4,2,4/0

Watercolour postcards from Cass Art

Enjoy!

Those leaves are absolutely stunning. Can you share the color palette with us? Or it is posted somewhere and I missed it?

Beth

Simple yet stunning. Can’t wait to try!

Wondering what discord is!

Discord is a chat forum I have for sweet pea tier and above so people can share their works in progress from the tutorials

In the notes just below Harriet's video. She always reference colour palette, size of brushes, paper quality...

This was a great tutorial! I love the layers, glazing, mixing, blending & detail lines which definitely make the design to pop! I'm looking forward to using more moonglow & neutral tint in glazing. Thanks, Harriet 😁

I really liked this tutorial! 🍂🍁🤎 I have a question. I've watched this video by streaming it to my TV, but then it's a small screen. Can I do something about that?

Hi Lisette, these phone filmed tutorials will always be portrait orientation but you should be able to zoom in

Lisette

Hi Harriet, Thanks for your reaction! I'm gonna try that.

Just watching this one and I had a quick question, the final glaze over the veins seems to go on quite quickly, but it doesn't end up "rubbing out" the vein lines only softening slightly. I'd that because (if I'm remembering right) you'd taken off the excess paint when doing the fine veins, keeping a fairly dry brush. Or was it because it was warn enough in the studio for the lines to dry a touch before that final glazing? Many thanks

The final glaze goes on when the leaf veins are nearly dry, allowing them to stay put but slightly soften.
