Hi everyone, welcome along. Today we're painting Kilchurn Castle. This tutorial is in two parts - this is the first.

I've attached the reference photo, I recommend printing it off and having a sketch on it to get used to the shapes.

You will need:

Cold pressed watercolour paper a5/8x6 inches

hb pencil

set square

hard and soft erasers

Colours I used: Cerulean Blue, Winsor Blue, Paynes Grey, Raw Sienna, Green Gold, Hansa Yellow Medium, Deep Sap Green, Opera Rose, Alizarin Crimson, Buff Titanium, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Moonglow

Brushes I used: large round size 12, pointed round size 8, 6, 4, 2, 0, 2/0

Ah thanks Carina, I enjoyed the challenge of trying to keep things a little bit loose and not overly detailed

I love your detailed paintings too. The buildings, all the lovely details I really enjoy them. I can slow down. Have a great day! 🤗😘
