Hi everyone, I'm starting a series on Youtube this evening, dedicating a video to each colour in my palette: why I've chosen it, what brand I like, what happens when you mix it with the primaries and a few examples of recent paintings where it's the main character.

Tonight's colour is Buff Titanium!

While there is an exhaustive range of colours out there on the market (and I know some of you have nearly all of them!) this is just my limited selection of the colours I turn to time and time again. It's a useful video if you're building a colour palette from scratch or looking to update the one you're currently using.

Enjoy!

Buff Titanium in Watercolour: Pros, Cons & Is It Worth a Spot on Your Palette? Hi everyone and welcome along to the first in our series of exploring the colours in my palette in way more detail. Today we are looking at Buff Titanium, a real subtle little unsung hero in the corner of my palette that creates the most beautiful rich creamy tones and is a really, really surprising and useful color to have. This video explores the color Buff Titanium, showcasing its subtle yet effective use in creating rich, creamy tones. The presenter demonstrates how this color can be a surprisingly useful addition to an artist's palette through various paint swatches and small watercolor paintings, offering a valuable visual reference for anyone interested in watercolor techniques and color mixing. This watercolor tutorial is perfect for those looking to expand their knowledge of daniel smith watercolor paints. I use Daniel Smith Buff Titanium Buff Titanium is one of those watercolour colours people seem to either adore or completely avoid. In this video I’m sharing my honest thoughts on the pros and cons of having Buff Titanium in your palette, and when it can be genuinely useful — and when it might get in the way. If you’ve ever wondered whether Buff Titanium is a “cheat colour”, a time-saver, or simply not for you, I hope this helps you decide whether it deserves a place on your palette. I do have Buff Titanium in my color collection. I have a really useful color wheel which shows how other colors look when mixed with it.

Can you supply the link to the dried floral in the glass vessel project? Thank you :)

It was a livestream class on the cherry blossom tier. I will have a look over the weekend but you can find it in the ‘flowers’ and ‘livestream classes’ collections

i love buff titanium and i love the way you used it as a background colour for the vase and flowers - what a good idea - brings a lovely warmth to the piece.

Hi Harriet, I have spotted a lovely ceramic pallet that you use with your initials stamped on- I am wondering where you got this from? Or if you have a picture you can share so that I might be able to ask my mother in law to make something similar? :)
