Watercolour Challenge 267: Serene Winter Landscapes and Murmurations (Patreon)
Content
I really got inspired with a creative urge half way through this challenge and it turned into something more than I had initially planned. I love it when that happens.
This is building upon last week's negative space landscapes, incorporating more colours and details.
If you want to watch the livestream for the two paintings mentioned at the start of the video you can watch it here (cherry blossom tier only).
You will need:
Cold pressed watercolour paper (mine is 8x6 inches)
hb pencil
Brushes I used: Mop Brush, Large round size 12, pointed round 8,4,2/0
Colours I used: French Ultramarine Blue, Paynes Grey, Moonglow, Mayan Blue Genuine, Prussian Blue, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green, Alizarin Crimson, Deep Sap Green.
Here is some footage from Ant's visit to Ham Wall in the Somerset Levels to watch the murmurations in December, taken by our friend Alex Toze (it's phone footage so best to watch on a phone so you can rotate it).
