Watercolour Challenge 276: Chocolate Easter Egg in a foil wrapper part 1 of 2 (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone, we've got a new, seasonal challenge in two parts starting today. Whether you celebrate Easter or not, there are some really interesting techniques and challenges in this piece: how to capture the reflective surface of foil, and the richness of chocolate whilst keeping a nice shine. The other thing I will say is the piece is easier than it looks.
I have provided an accompanying post with a PDF line drawing download for the Watercolour Challenges which you can find here.
Sweet Pea tier members can opt to buy the individual line drawing downloads on a case by case basis. For Wild Rose and Cherry Blossom members the line drawing is free of charge - included in your monthly subscription.
Today we are drawing and then putting down some base layers. I have attached the reference photos I'm working from to this post.
