Hi everyone, you will have seen this quick cut tutorial on social media. As per usual, Patrons get the longer version! I didn't draw this but I've listed pencil and erasers if you want to put in your stem and flower centre as we often do.

This is part of the June Rose Series, as a concerted effort by me to get comfortable with painting all kinds of roses. They are such a popular flower whilst being so varied in style. I get asked to teach them often so this felt like a great challenge for me...and for you!

You will need:

Cold Pressed watercolour Paper

HB pencil

Hard and soft erasers

Colours I used: Hansa Yellow Medium, Lemon Yellow, Buff Titanium, , Pyrrol Orange, Opera Rose, Permanent Rose, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Green Gold, Sap Green, Deep Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Paynes Grey, Moonglow

Brushes I used: Pointed round size 8, 4, 2, 0

It’s so cool to watch and see how the flower kinda pops out and becomes more 3D with each layer. They turned out beautifully! 🤩

So delicate and lovely! I have just signed up for the cherry blossom level!🥰 How can I find the list of supplies you used. Paint colors??? I love your cute, little, ceramic palette.
