Welcome to September (Patreon)

Hi everyone, welcome to September. I’ve really enjoyed the last few weeks of August and loved watching the season change just a little bit. I’m very grateful for such a long summer, and have relished so much plein air painting. It’s also a great feeling to know what lies ahead in terms of painting challenges…

News

We are launching our Halloween Painting Challenge this Thursday on Youtube! Patrons get a free line drawing guide (which will be posted separately on Thursday), and you can purchase the download/hardcopy/full kit on Etsy and de Winton Paper co from Thursday.

To help with postage and tariff costs I have brought forward the production of the advent calendar and will be doing a bundle of the two paper grids (from Thursday) to save you postage and tariff costs if you were keen to do both. The full advent calendar kit will  follow separately as we are just waiting for the paint sets to be shipped over.

A very exciting extra retreat has been added to my schedule due to popular demand. We are going back to Portugal where I stayed this Spring. Quinta Bonita is a wonderful venue with a great art room, accommodation, food and culture. I had such a nice time and there was such an amazing reaction to my content from the retreat that we have added an extra retreat to next year’s schedule: March 28 - April 4. Book Your Space!

If early talk of Christmas offends you, please move on…later on this week I will be asking you for your suggestions for the 2026 Advent Calendar on Patreon. It’s such a highlight of the year and a particular favourite of mine because it really brings our Patreon community together as we learn about each other’s Christmas traditions.

Thank you for your seasonal suggestions...I’ve made a note of some of the more creepy things for October.
