Hi everyone, it's been so lovely to meet you all over the past few days. I hope you've enjoyed today's behind the scenes on Instagram Stories: I've been creating abstract watercolour washes for wedding place cards and painting an anniversary watercolour bouquet painting just for you on the Close Friends list.

Meanwhile Ant has been working hard editing and uploading our latest Youtube video so I thought I'd draw your attention to it here if you haven't already checked out my channel.

Today is a quick and easy watercolour bookmark, just in time for going back to school.

For my Sweet Peas I'm really looking forward to our first watercolour challenge on Tuesday!

Back to School Bookmark

Stationery Episode 2: Back to School Bookmark Whether you're sending your little ones back to school or need to get your own life in gear for heading back to work, college or a new job this September, there's nothing like a little bit of new stationery to make everything better. This bookmark project is a perfect way to spend a quiet hour. They make perfect little gifts if you can bear to give them away! This tutorial is all about layering and consistency of paint. Translucent washes and then a concentrated, opaque, silhouetted flower on top. I'm always amazed at all the different things watercolour can do and this is a lovely, easy example of that. If you've loved learning with me and want to enjoy a more interactive and tailored watercolour experience, join my Patreon (https://bit.ly/2EWJIGL) to become part of my watercolour community. I'm making weekly watercolour challenges and offering behind the scenes access all for a small monthly subscription.
