It's amazing how fast these tuesdays keep coming round! I hope you are all doing ok and finding your own small corners of calm in this rapidly changing world.

Here is the next episode of the townhouse painting challenge where we tackle how to paint white details on white paper!

A very warm welcome to our new Patrons! If this is your first watercolour challenge then I  recommend going back through the previous challenges to get yourself up to speed and see how this all works. All the while you can access all the tutorials on my youtube channel if you would like to go through some watercolour for beginners basics or brush up on other skills.

This is a private youtube link which only you sweet pea and cherry blossom patrons have access to.

You will need

Your pencil drawing from last week

A range of paintbrushes

Colours I used: Burnt Sienna, French Ultramarine Blue

Jar of water

Kitchen roll to blot the brush

Pencil and ruler

After watching the video...(if you can watch it on a screen larger than a phone that will improve the viewing experience as there is quite a bit of pencil drawing at the start)

Choose where on your townhouse you will put white painted and stone detail.  Mark a few guidelines so you know where to paint your details.

Paint in your detail!

Although this is a work in progress I would still encourage sharing your work. Use #dwpcchallenge and tag me @dewintonpaperco. And please do have a look at everyone else's interpretations of the brief (search the hashtag and you will see all the patreon insta posts from everyone in here) and celebrate each other's work. We learn from seeing how others interpret a single brief so a community encourages progres

Comment below with your findings, and if you are sharing your work on Instagram, use the #dwpcchallenge and tag me @dewintonpaperco.

Have a wonderful week.

Wowee, when you added the final concentrated shadow, so delicate! I should have practised that a bit more beforehand! Really enjoying this challenge :)
