Thanks for a lovely video Harriet xx

What a beautiful gift. Roses are so hard for me. Aahaaa moment wobble the brush with “C” curve. Brilliant explanation!! Thank you Harriet

Linda Bloom

Hi, I did this today and the rose actually wasn't too bad!!! I have such a problem with leaves though - not with making them all in a row, but placing them properly in an arrangement. They stick out at odd angles, and are too far from the flower or something. When you paint single flowers with one or two leaves I'm ok, but placing leaves around a wreath or arrangement -- Blah! Next time you paint an arrangement, could you give some tips on how to snuggle the leaves around the flowers and where to place the stems? Thanks!! Loved this little rose!

(I actually cut out the rose and put it on another sheet and tried again. Same wonky leaves!)

Hi Linda, yes i can absolutely have a look at that. The main thing it to imagine the leave growing fro the invisible stem behind the flower and mentally joining it all up before painting what is visible.

Frances Ross

Harriet- this was so much fun. Thank you. My rose looked a little like the end of the night but I love painting the eucalyptus. Where can we post our paintings besides Instagram? Thank you.

Hi Frances, at the moment instagram is the place to post using the hashtag dwpcchallenge. I am currently looking in to alternatives, mainly something called Discord.

I’ve been practicing roses as a beginner, started watercolor in January. These focus tutorials are so helpful. Thank you
