Watercolour Challenge 50 (Patreon)
Content
We've hit the big 5-0! That means my Patreon is nearly a year old...we'll have to think of something fun for the first birthday.
Here is your new watercolour challenge. It's another Patron requested subject: Vintage Perfume Bottles. This is a nice development from doing some glass vase painting a few months back. If you're a new Patron and haven't had a go at the Tulips in a vase watercolour challenge, I highly recommend you have a go at that before trying this.
I've attached the images of the bottles I used as reference.
This is a private youtube link which only you sweet pea and cherry blossom patrons have access to.
You will need
some watercolour paper (my piece is 9x6 inches)
A range of paintbrushes
Paint: I used: cadmium Orange, permanent rose, burnt sienna, french ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow, yellow ochre, cobalt turquoise, mars black
Jar of water
Kitchen roll to blot the brush
a pencil
After watching the video...
draw your bottle shapes
paint along with the watercolour challenge and see how you get on.
paint one more bottle of your own design!
Share your pieces on Discord or you can use #dwpcchallenge on instagram and tag me @dewintonpaperco. And please do have a look at everyone else's interpretations of the brief (search the hashtag and you will see all the patreon insta posts from everyone in here) and celebrate each other's work. We learn from seeing how others interpret a single brief so a community encourages progres
