Hi everyone, in our animal painting we have moved on to pet portraits. First looking at dogs. Dog faces are largely defined by their head shape. With these simple steps you can draw any breed.

If you are new to painting then I highly recommend going back to the first watercolour challenges and working through the first through to get your basic techniques going. Then you can pick and choose whatever you like!

You will need

paper to sketch on, doesn't need to be watercolour paper. I just used a4 printer paper.

With this challenge I would like you to draw along with the video and then have a go at a few breeds of your own choice. Next week we will be drawing and painting a whole dog!
