Thanks for all your wonderful suggestions, it's so interesting how themes appear each month. This time a lot of you are interested in Lily of the Valley and some more architectural work. So, on Youtube this month I will include:

Bunnies

lily of the valley

simple people to put in landscapes

gender neutral birthday card

spring bouquet in a glass vase

Easter card ideas

The larger pieces seem to work best on the watercolour challenges, allowing us to build up a piece over a few sessions. So, we once we have come to the end of the current topic on the watercolour challenges we are going to do a new architectural piece and then some cityscape scenes!

I appreciate not everyone has access to the watercolour challenges so I do try and make sure we spread the content over the various platforms.

Hi Harriet, Thank you to ask our requests, I always think that is your attitude is really grateful. My requests : mountains' landscape, architecture building like church not full but some part of it, city' scenes with people and car ...

Shannon Fitzgerald

I would love to see your take on scenes with a strong light source or alternatively showing perspective such as an angled building which shows depth and light ❤️

Waj

Lily of the valley flowers, leaf vein repeated patterns (similar to the lemon/limes/oranges and the strawberry/berries tutorials you've done), early morning dewdrops on grass/leaves, windmill with a hay-farm, magpie bird, cherry blossom landscape. Thank you Harriet

Wendy Nguyen

Hi Harriet! My requests: large architecture building, crystals (amethyst, citrine, celestite), realistic Icelandic poppy, foxgloves, floral bouquet 🥰

Elena

Hi Harriet. I am standing for architecture as well: houses, mansions, statues, etc. But also I am interested in lanterns - metallic surface. I would love to learn how to paint this texture with watercolour.

Megan (Megabyte)

Hmm.. you've covered so much, it's getting tricky. Maybe books, koi fish, jellyfish/ marine creatures, to name a few ideas

Gill Mundin

Hi Harriet! Cornish coastal scenes? Captures a few different elements together - rocks, water, clouds, strong light sources, backlighting, reflections

Julie Guy

I would love for you to do a miniature spring floral wreath to paint on small cards for Easter please x

Ioana Anghel

I would like to see some more fruit (fig, apple, banana etc), but maybe not as loose as the vegetables.

Kerri Fair

A spring bunny with herbs. I’ve been looking for a bunny and no one else has one that I can find.

Lynne Morea

I would love to paint a stack of vintage suitcases.

Louise

More birds?

Ana Elizabeth Ruiz

I would like some forest landscapes or some architecture buildings.

Carmela

Bright red Gerbera Daisies in a clear vase with water would be fun. Maybe do it two ways - one picture realistic and one picture looser with lots of brilliant colors and movement.

Kate Higgins

Could you do one showing a sunset with coloured clouds? Mine always ends up looking like a mud pie!

Kate Higgins

Just had another idea, my mum loved lily of the valley flower, any chance we could do them?

Dee

Here’s some suggestions-I would be interested in rustic doors ( architectural details) with flowering vines around them on a brick or stone wall! Well, some variation of that. Iron gate in a garden perhaps. I love all of your floral illustrations and I love architectural details in fact collect old glass door knobs, old keys, stuff like that. Btw I saw your tutorial on the live retreat. That was a bit messy on their end. But you Harriet were brilliant. I watched quite a few and your smooth articulate and easy manner and teaching was terrific. Becca Courtice ( Happy Ever Crafter) and you were hands down the must professional. I decided to learn calligraphy from her so that with my skills I am learning from you, I could make some cute cards! Hope Crumble is better. 👏🏻

Paola

I'd love to see something for St. Patrick's day with clover and thistle. Maybe in a wreath setting. Thx!

HEATHER DRAPER

how about a laburnam tree arch in flower, or camelias? i love Bodnant garden in the spring (North Wales)

Dian

What about an English country garden scene? It’s tricky when you’ve already covered so much lovely stuff. Hope Crumble is better. 🙂

Susan

Would love one with pussy willows

Dian

Mythical creatures, dragons.

Susan C Terris

I'd love to do a Starling! I know that is probably more advanced for this level, but the blending of color interests me. I would also love to see an Irish theme for St. Patty's day.

Connie

March minis! Flowering plants and trees, Leprechauns, pot o’ gold with rainbow😊

Connie

March minis…flowering plants and trees, Leprechauns, Pot o’ Gold, Shamrocks….

Kate Tully

Simple people to put in landscapes, etc ❤️

Jana

Spring landscapes, weeping willow tree (I cant remember if this was done already?)...LOVE the idea someone had before of Mythical Creatures/Dragons...or castle landscapes?

Carole Edain Brulé

Hello everyone - a few ideas: Moonlight on water; dewdrops on petals/leaves; shamrocks; a pair of wellies/rainboots filled with spring flowers. Sending healing hugs and puppy kisses to dear Crumble! :-)

Priscilla Basilio

It’s my father’s birthday this month so maybe a gender-neutral Happy Birthday card?

Jackie Stubbe

Good morning from USA, Pennsylvania. It is my moms 94th birthday. I would love to paint her a spring bouquet or flowers in a glass vase. Thanks

Seniz

Hello Everyone! I would also like to see more landscapes, spring landscapes perhaps as we will see trees blooming soon. Oh, I am also on board with more architectural pieces as well. Thank you Harriet!

Jo Slaney

Mini paintings 3x3 or 4x4 as card toppers? And calligraphy greetings

Jana Bailey

A cat sitting in a window, a potted hyacinth, a trellis with climbing roses

April Haxby

So many wonderful ideas. The Lily of the Valley sounds wonderful. Happy to try anything though and I think you have more than enough choice here so won't add anything else. Hope Crumble is better. xxx

Thanks Wendyy, I know I've already got an icelandic poppy tutorial on youtube which you can view any time

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Kate, we have a few tutorials on that in the watercolour challenges if you're a sweet pea or cherry blossom. If you're not just let me know and I can try and incorporate something into youtube

de Winton Paper co.

Thanks Dee, yes I saw they had a few technical difficulties! Thanks for these suggestions

de Winton Paper co.

I've got a mini potted hyacinth tutorial on youtube you can find in the flowers and foliage playlist

Kate Higgins

Hi Harriet I'm a sweet pea so I will hunt those down, thank you for letting me.

Gemma Shannon

Lily of the Valley is my birth month flower, so I’m very happy to see that on the list! It was good to see Crumble put in an appearance the other day. I’m so glad he is on the mend x

Kathy Ball

It would be nice to have a tutorial series on painting perspective, such as a flower face on, the same flower from the side, 45 degrees left/right, from below, etc. I struggle with getting it right. I know you do provide some of that within your existing videos but to have one focused on it would be nice. Thank you so much. And yes, I agree it was wonderful to see Crumble. He has such a sweet face, I can see how you are smitten.
