Genevieve

Soups + season vegetables ( courgettes, butternut squash, pumpkin 🎃)

Ruth Edwards

Pumpkins, of course!!! And maybe some acorns and autumn leaves.😁

Amanda Fraser

Haunted house scene be fun for Halloween 🎃

Emelie Karnevi

October is all rain and storms now. So maybe a windy landscape with bent trees? Otherwise Sweden commemorates those who have passed on the first weekend of November (apparently translates as “all saints day”. Maybe save for Nov youtube? 😅). We light candles by the graves so a candle tutorial would be beautiful. Maybe surrounded by darkness considering the dark time of year here too. 🕯️

Emelie Karnevi

Colouring of different leaves? Gingko turns yellow, maple turns red etc. 🍁🍂

Carol Barnard

I would like to see a scarecrow in a autumnal setting.

Mary Moury

I think of all the fall critters getting ready for hibernation. I would love advice on how to take realistic animals and make them a little more "storybook". Or apple picking and other harvests.

Valentina

I loved the seasonal suggestions above! Off season but I was wondering if you could do a series of famous buildings/landmarks? I fell in love with the paintings you did for the Ryders cup and I was thinking how cool it would be to learn how to paint them! If not for YouTube perhaps for Patreon? 😉

de Winton Paper co.

Ah yes. It was fun painting those little buildings. Maybe that can be our next watercolour challenge topic on Patreon

Marilyn Dayton

Just from a personal standpoint, please, let's not do a bird for a little while. All of mine end up looking like pigeons. But Love all the suggestions above. Thanks!

Gwen Tahmaseb

I realize is a long list- but brainstorming here! Witch against a full moon/dark Halloween sky; corn stalks, bales of hay, pumpkin and mums vignette; ghosts/gravestones/moon. Trick or treat- maybe kids in costume with candy baskets. Halloween treats, candy corn, caramel apples, spiced (cinnamon stick, orange slice) cider in a glass mug with a cider donut.

Melissa Siroky

Aspen trees have a lovely firey gold color. I'd love to learn to paint a stand of Aspens. Perhaps a happy scarecrow would be fun. Thanks for taking requests!

Amy

An Autumn landscape would be lovely, lots of orange and red leaves with some trees, acorns and pumpkins. I’d also love to see some cute woodland animals like hedgehogs 🦔 Thanks Harriet!

Louise Edsall

I would love a miniature black and tan dachshund. My sweet Clare is 14 and I would love to be able to create her likeness- maybe it’s more a private commission request - dachshund in leaves to fulfill Autumn? Thank you

Mariska

I would love to paint guirlandes with oranges, eucalyptus and cinnamon sticks 😍

Sharon Rowe

October is my favorite month! Standing cornstalks in a field with a split rail fence and a little farmer or his wife helping him could be a fun scene. I will post a photo in the Discord Gallery taken at our local living history museum. Another idea would be a Sleepy Hollow dark night scene in a forest or moon lit field.

Victoria W

A pumpkin wreath 😃

CynthiaJQ

What about a scarecrow in a field of pumpkins?

Snaidis

I would love to do another dogbreed... a yellow labrador! I could paint my Murphy at last! I could Upload a photo, if I knew how...😕

Nancy Gross

Acorns and oak leaves, carved pumpkins, witch’s hat and broom, basket of apples, corn stalks with gourds and pumpkins (different colored pumpkins)

Anna Leigh

Aspen trees are a big favorite of mine.

Christie P

Scarecrow in cornfield or pumpkin patch w/ some crows :)

Jennifer Bahnsen

Canada Geese - I love seeing (and hearing) them fly south this time of year.

Jill Weisensee

Bunked up person walking along leaf-strewn path?

Marie Faubion

Something with Corn fields and hay rides?

Alison Morris

I love pheasants in the autumn - the colours of their feathers against the leaves and hedgerows, particularly on a frosty day is sublime. Though I take the point about birds.

Sandra Woosnam

Autumnal colours in a wreath/garland. To perhaps include conkers, acorns, etc

Beth Licklider

Classic still life--bowl with season fruits, or maybe basket with gourds

Maria Cromer

I loved your 2023 calendar so much, will there be one for next year? The size was perfect!

Susann

October is the month of the harvest. How about a composition of harvested fruits and vegetables (such as pumpkin, grapes, apples, ears of grain)? And it's usually windy - maybe a nice kite?

Beth Farrell

A male Wild turkey with fan of feathers and some turkey hens

Louise Busby

I like the ideas of scarecrows and pumpkins including seasonal veg basket that others have mentioned. I’d like a few Halloween themes like some potion bottles and books on a bookshelf perhaps. A witches hat on a frog or a witches cottage landscape perhaps.

Lai Kum Leong

It would be nice to have a cottage garden of autumn blooms and trees

jo sowerby

Love all the ideas above. Would love an autumnal scene of trees and leaves. A little witches cat?

Debbie Marchant

Spooky stuff please , graveyard, bats, night time images. Thanks Harriet.

Debbie Sheehan

I love the idea of the potion bottles and witchy gear!

Charlotte Maaskant

Hello, I would like a starting page for 2024 for my bujo. 🙏

Deb Miller

Fall flowers. pumpkins, basket of apples or anything fall in the back of a truck.

ilona van der tang

One thing I love in autumn is bathing in a hot bath.... so I vision a beautiful old bath with me hanging in it, cup of tea and a good book, whilst the Rain and wind play outside.... (pardon my faults)

ilona van der tang

Baking a apple pie... or the recipe of a pie or pumkinsoup (would love to paint a recipe)

ilona van der tang

And glascorn. Saw a picture of it on the net, fell in love with all the colours

Hi Louise, I've got a good dachshund tutorial in the illustration playlist on youtube

Marilyn Dayton

All of these sound SOOOOO exciting. I'm ready to GO NO BIRDS (well except for the pheasant)

Louise Edsall

I will go have a look. Thank you. I don’t get to comment often but you truly inspire me. I find an outlet in painting. I’m a caregiver for my disabled husband and he enjoys seeing my work. Thanks!
