Hi everyone,

Today we are painting the final component of our Seasonal painting, and just on cue, it feels like Autumn has finally arrived in the UK (although Ant tells me there's some kind of heatwave this weekend!).

It is rather apt that the final item in the piece is the Shield Beetle, an insect I got to know rather well in France although everyone referred to them as Stink Bugs!

Colours I used: Green Gold, Sap Green, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Moonglow, Buff Titanium

Brushes I used: Size 4,2,2/0,4/0

This insect is ideal to fill up any gaps you might have in your painting. Alternatively you could add a little rose hip or leaf wherever you want to even out the piece. Make sure you do that in this session as we will be finishing the piece with the border next week!
