Hi all, we are starting a new Seasonal painting for Winter! It really felt like Winter had arrived in the studio on filming day in spite of me wearing a T shirt!

Today we are just sketching our layout.

You will need:

Watercolour paper 7x9 inches

HB pencil

Set Square/Ruler

Eraser

This piece features: Chaffinch, Glory of the Snow, Primrose, Winterberry, Ladybirds, Lichen branch, Teasels. We have reference images for all attached and over the following weeks I will be teaching you how to draw and paint each item as we build our piece.

Beautiful flowers! Pretty bird. Going to practice practice practice on birds this year. Thank you for such an interesting gathering to paint!

I just watched this and I am going to try to draw 😱

Yes, do Marie! And each week we will be looking at how to draw each item in a bit more detail.

Hi Harriet, I’m a new Sweet Pea ! And I’m not sure where the reference photos for this challenge will be? I think my membership includes that. Happy day, I’m excited to upgrade and develop better painting skills!!

Harriet, I was able to cut and paste the references from another patrons post…but for future references I assume I sold ask you?
