Hi everyone, thank you so much for all of your suggestions, I wish I could do them all, but keep suggesting each month and hopefully I can fit it in at a later date. Here are the tutorials I will try to fit in in January from your suggestions:

Winter wet on wet meadow polaroids

Chickadees/Coal tit

Blackbird on a berry branch

valentines day card

Skiers scene

Winter wreath

hygge "symbols" art work

Bears in Yellowstone

Many of your suggestions are tutorials I've actually done already, if you type your suggestions into the search feature on my YouTube channel you might find a tutorial for that.

Seasonal birdhouses would be nice. Or animals in the snow 😊

April Haxby

Happy New Year Harriet. I was trying to do snow on tree branches the other day. I know you can use masking fluid to get this effect, but I am sure I have seen other techniques that work better. A snowy landscape with snow covered bare tree branches would be lovely. Thanks.

Amanda Selvaratnam

I’d love to learn how to draw and paint letters so I could do monthly floral paintings of each month with flowers and leaves intertwining the letters

Anna Leigh

How about a winterscen with a waterfall.

Liat Rostoker

Hi Harriet and everybody, this is my first time answering :0) I'd LOVE to learn how to draw a mushroom house, and or fairies' houses, too! Thank you so much for this amazing space of smiles' learning.

Stew Hall

I would love to try some sort of black bird

Marianne Alblas

I would like to learn glas bottles in a group,so that you can look through one or the other.

Anna Rofes

Happy new year everyone! I’d love to practice more wet on wet technique. Winter and misty landscapes are good for that I think.

Sue Lea

Hi Harriet 👋 waterfalls and rocks would be most appreciated. Thanks Sue

A scene with detailed skaters, mountain with 🚠skilifts and skiers or huskies in the snow would be lovely.

Carol Barnard

A floral Alphabet would be nice to see.

Jen

Happy new year, I'd be really keen on anything skiing/ ski resort/ski lodge related... all skis and snowboards stacked up outside a restaurant...

Sharon Seaver

Would love an alphabet with florals to personalize!

Jane Jackson MBE

Anything that is not to do with Christmas!!!!!!!!

Debbie V

Interesting winter plants possibly with berries. Winter is a great time to read so possibly book mark ideas.

Mary Moury

I'd love my something cozy, like your autumn stack of books and cup of tea. Maybe a basket of yarn and a comfy chair?

Kerri Fair

Maybe a doll sitting next to a stuffed animal of any type? I’ve been into story characters and cuddly things. We could embellish with botanicals as accents? If not a doll, might you suggest someone who has a good tutorial for that sort of thing? Thank you so much for a wonderful year of painting. You are by far my favorite!

ilona van der tang

Wellll. Since it's my birthday on the 19th, maybe a nice birtdaycard, or birtdayinvitation (if that's the word....)....

Debbie Marchant

Teddy bears, winter landscapes, lighthouse, Dartmoor ponies ☺️

Sandra Woosnam

Im about to have a British Shorthair blue kitten - this would be a lovely one to learn how to draw please x

K

How about a scene with a snake plant/sansevieria in a pot?

CynthiaJQ

Something for Valentines Day so we have time to paint and put into the mail. Thanks!

Danielle McCulloch

Any of the birds from the book, 'A Year of Watercolor'. I would like to see more tutorials from the book, as it helps me learn better than just using the reading and illustrations.

Rachel Clark

A box of fancy chocolates, rose bouquet in wrapping, conversation hearts--maybe still life scene with all three!

Linda Bloom

A winter wreath for the birds

Erin Berlin

Love this idea! Little gnome homes would be super fun!

Erin Berlin

Anything snowy or Valentines-y! A little scene of wintery houses could be fun.

Michele Casey

Seaglass, any animals, birds. Thank you!

Sandra Wyman

Could you do a famous landmark series with buildings and places?

Nic

Something ski related - maybe a Chalet, could end up with winter one and a summer one like the seasonal doors

I have several requests: #1 A rustic stone cottage in the snow with smoke coming out of the chimney and snowshoes and skis propped up on the front porch. #2 A collage of hygge "symbols" e.g. copper kettle with two steaming mugs of hot chocolate, a big warm sweater, a glowing candle and/or fireplace, a pair of fuzzy colorful socks, an opened book with a well-worn cover, an overgrown houseplant in a decorative ceramic pot. #3 bucks and does in a snowy winter scene at dusk with a full moon rising in the background. #4 My hubby and I lived at the base of Mt. Shasta in Northern California for years. Mt. Shasta is the sister mountain to Mt. Fuji and she is a beauty. When she gets her "winter coat" she is absolutely stunning! While I have many photos of Mt. Shasta I would love to do a watercolor of her! If you need reference photos of her, Harriette, I'm your gal--just ask. #5 A group of playful penguins. Thanks so much!

Anne

A dragon! Since it’s the year of the Dragon (in chinese horoscope) 🐲

Stain glass/ a rose window. I know it's a bit complicated.

An alphabet with a variety of styles . When I sign my paintings my signature looks so boring.

Susan Adams

Hi everyone this is my first time too and I would love to try something like a house with a garden full of flowers, winter ones are fine to keep it seasonal. Thank you.

Alison Gammon

I also would be keen to do a stained glass window please - the rose window from a cathedral perhaps? Or something seasonal eg winter aconites? Thank you!

Amy Lilley

I really loved the colour palette you used in the mindful livestream (inspired by Inga’s book) and would love to learn to paint the flowers you showed at the beginning ❤️ I’d also love a composition with field mice (or two interacting, or with other elements from your lovely book like poppies) ❤️

Roxanne

I would love some snowy scenes.

LadyC

Would love to see: - icy landscape or anything ice/icy (glacier, iceberg, ice skating on frozen lake/river, etc) - dragon for Chinese New Year - famous buildings/landmarks like Tower Bridge or Big Ben

Anne-Marie Serpaud

Hello, happy new year 2024chinese dragon and lantern

Dee R

A hibernating bear. Maybe a cute mom and cub curled up. The bears in Yellowstone National Park are taking a long winter nap. With snow covered cave opening and trees

Dee R

I would love to be painting a big old ornemental clock

Ooh this would be nice. We have some bird house tutorials in the watercolour hangout recordings but sounds good

de Winton Paper co.

Hi April, yes I've tackled snow on tree branches in a few of the watercolour livestreams which have the recordings available.

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Amanda, I have a whole year's worth of floral word art tutorials on Youtube!

de Winton Paper co.

Oh so cute! We might have to save that for Autumn when mushrooms come up again but it's on the list!

de Winton Paper co.

Ooh this sounds like a great challenge. Probably a bit too involved for a YouTube tutorial so will put it on the Patreon list

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Donna we've got some nice misty landscapes and a bird bath tutorial on my YouTube channel. If you just type your suggestions into the search feature you'll find them.

de Winton Paper co.

If you type your suggestions into the search feature on my YouTube channel you'll find a tutorial for that.

de Winton Paper co.

I'm keen to do something like this. Just working out the best way to do it.

de Winton Paper co.

Haha! I hear you! There might still be a little bit of winter content if you can bear it!

de Winton Paper co.

AH happy birthday for then. We have a tonne of card making tutorials on the YouTube channel. If you type your suggestions into the search feature on my YouTube channel you'll find a tutorial for that.

de Winton Paper co.

saying that, I do already have some really nice V day card design tutorials on Youtube. If you type your suggestions into the search feature on my YouTube channel you'll find a tutorial for that.

de Winton Paper co.

Yes I agree. We've got one or two filmed tutorials from my books and there are a few on Patreon too but I'm actually working on a sort of filmed companion to the books which we will try and launch later this year.

de Winton Paper co.

I'm just learning that a Chickadee is very similar to a Coal tit in the UK.

de Winton Paper co.

I've been doing quite a bit of this on the Patreon watercolour challenges in the sweet pea tier. It's difficult to do things like this on YouTube as we don't have enough time to do everything in the YouTube tutorials

de Winton Paper co.

We've got a really nice mini tutorial of a red brick cottage in the saved highlights on instagram stories. Do go and have a look at that

Dee R

That is in my "backyard"! You are going at the best time of year, in my opinion, having been there often. September and October are so fantastic. We have driven to Old Faithful Lodge for lunch and back home just for fun!

Erin Berlin

Yesss! CNY is Feb 2 I believe!

Erin Berlin

I love the idea of Chinese New Year 2024 symbols ans decorations! <3. I believe CNY 24 is Feb 2nd.

M Weaver

You are coming to the US in September! Awesome!

April Haxby

Thanks Harriet - unfortunately I am not a member of the livestream group as I just don't have enough time at the moment. I will keep searching for something to help me work it out. Just trying to avoid masking fluid as I find the edges a bit too harsh.

Liz Kirkindoll

This is my first time here. I am just finishing my advent calendar. (Started after Christmas when I discovered you). I read in a few comments about your trip to Yellowstone. I just looked on the website about your trips and only saw Morocco. Please share details about Yellowstone!
