Major RSS Update Progress (Patreon)

Good morning,

WE DID IT!!! As of today Patreon now allows podcasters to tag "audio" posts with Episode & Season data (a true RSS), with more podcast-centric changes coming in December/January! These changes come after numerous meetings and YEARS of petitioning from us and others. In March I gave a presentation to the Patreon design team and this is the direct result!

These changes will lead to a MUCH more organized listening experience for all of you, and we see it as our job to make your life a bit easier when it comes to entertainment :)

EDIT: HERE IS THE NEW AND UPDATED RSS FROM OUR MIGRATION A WEEK AFTER THIS POST WAS MADE - DO NOT USE ACAST:https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041347732-How-to-use-your-audio-RSS

I already spent 4 hours today updating the "episode" & "season" tags on Patreon posts here, though a major "cleanup" action items remain to make the "Patreon RSS" have mirrored functionality to our near-immaculate Acast feed. This is the sort of work that goes on behind the scenes, which we hope will make it easier for us to deliver the bonus content to the app of your choice.

Thank you again for your continued support!

Sincerely,-Travis

Remaining Action Items:

Ensure all Shows use 1 season number per Story

Verify that all Season numbers are in use (1-21) and re-order if not.

Move Sealskin Rock to Season 21

Assign all bonus episode posts (educational, non-story specific) to Season 20.

Sort Season 20 episode tags into a loose chronological order - splitting educational into episodes 501+ and bonus stories into 101+.

Ensure episode number metadata uses format: 101, 102, 103 and not 1, 2, 3 for all seasons of all shows (except bonus seasons ala Artifact, etc), as decimals are not permitted on Patreon

Double check "bonus episode" and "trailer" tags in podcast metadata tab

Fix episode descriptions and remove hyperlinks.

Preview Text for Non-patrons across all episodes needs to be present and uniform

Remove all sponsorships in VAST Horizon (audio + credits)

Remove Nerdy Show Network Promo in Liberty (text and audio) episodes, and QA + Behind the Scenes if they still exist. CoCMP promos will remain as that show is awesome!

----Credits: The Tower - Transcript links and credits need to be added to all credits in this series----

----Fix tags: Liberty vs Tales from the Tower (on "the tower")----

Update Patreon POST audio to match the most updated mixes on: White Vault (S3), VAST Horizon

Episode titles: "The White Vault" is missing from episode titles. Updated prefix to match Acast feed.

Also double check Liberty & VAST title Prefixes.

White Vault (S1 and likely others) - credits are missing.

Dark Dice S2 - credits are missing.

Episode Art - Double Check All shows but especially Dark Dice S1-3. They need to either use SHOW ART or EPISODE art - pending Patron feedback.

Vigilance - Credits are missing from ep 4-12

-----TFtT - Credits are missing in S1-5-----

Bonus Series (artifact, iluka, imperial, avrum) - verify hyperlinks to transcripts are correct

Liberty: Season 1: TftT and CR 1.02-205 are not on the feed at all.

We need to re-record our "welcome to patreon" episode.
