ACTION REQUIRED: New Premium RSS Host (Patreon)

(This is the face of a man who has worked ~16 hours today to make your day a little bit better)

Hey Everyone,Travis here... I got a message at around 10am (Munich time) stating that our Acast Premium RSS was down. This was confirmed by our Discord Lamprey (and other creators) and in short, Acast's Patreon integration crashed - not just for us, but for all creators as far as we can tell. After confirming that no immediate fix would be possible, I accelerated our migration to the new Patreon RSS - which just launched Friday.

16 hours of nonstop work later (except a brief dinner break and dog walk for Eezo), I'm happy to report that the new Patreon Premium RSS is ready for your use! PLEASE unsubscribe to the old Acast feed, and re-subscribe to the new Premium RSS.

Not only is it ad free, but it also adds all the right bonus episodes, sorts each story/season chronologically, and gives you an ideal listening experience by default. Many posts also have "behind the scenes" episode notes.

How to set it up:

From our Patreon page, click the Membership tab

Click the Copy link button to copy the link to your clipboard, OR Click the Connect Accounts button to listen to your exclusive RSS feed on your Spotify account

Paste the link into your podcast app of choice (it might be listed under "Add RSS" or "private RSS")

Pending what you're using, try this link:https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041347732-How-to-use-your-audio-RSS

While the feed is functional, it's not perfect. Your feedback is, of course, welcome - either in a comment here or on discord.

The new Season markers are as follows:

Season 1  - Liberty: Critical Research (all seasons)

S2 – Liberty: Tales from the Tower (all seasons)

S3 – Liberty: Vigilance

S4 – White Vault (all core seasons)

S5 – Artifact

S6 – Imperial

S7 – Iluka

S8 – Avrum

S9 – Echoes

S10 – Goshawk (all seasons)

S11 – VAST Horizon (all seasons)

S12 – Dark Dice: Domain of the Nameless God

S13 – Dark Dice: The Long Road

S14 – Dark Dice: Shores of the Silver Thrum

S17 – The Boar Knight

S18 – Don't Mind Cruxmont

S19 – Don't Mind Sealskin Rock

S20 - Educational Content (not directly tied to a show) & Bonus Content (not directly tied to a show)

S21 – That Scares Me Too

I still have numerous smaller action items to resolve that I'm aware of... Today I also met with the Patreon Dev Team, and they're going to migrate the show notes for all core White Vault & Dark Dice episodes over the next 48 hours - so please forgive missing or funky-formatting for those show notes at this time.

Remaining Action Items:

Assign all bonus episode posts (educational, non-story specific) to Season 20 - and set an episode order via episode # tags. Split Educational into Eps 101+, and bonus stories in to Eps 501+

Double check "bonus episode" and "trailer" tags in podcast metadata tab for core White Vault & Dark Dice seasons

Fix episode descriptions and remove hyperlinks from Dark Dice & White Vault, and Season 20 Content

Preview Text for Non-patrons across all White Vault & Dark Dice episodes needs to be present and uniform

Remove all sponsorships in VAST Horizon (audio + credits)

Update RSS audio to match the most updated mixes on: White Vault (S3), VAST Horizon - if this has not already been done. VAST has at least 1 ad in S2 I believe.

Episode titles: "The White Vault" is missing from some non-core season episode titles. Updated prefix to match Acast feed.

Liberty: Season 1: TftT and CR 1.02-205 are not on the feed at all. The supercuts are cool, but...

Double Check no other episodes (outside of "music") are missing from the feed that are in the Acast RSS
