As I type this, I'm about ready to pass out...

The above is me recording the last sound effect for the episode. I still had about 2 hours of editing after that point (The fool! He thought he was done!) but it's really done.

It's been a LONG week of nonstop 16-18 hour work days (between the day job and editing), following up 'Happiness' as our most ambitious project to date. Despite being only half the length, we only had half the time to finish it, as we spent the first free days (recovering from Happiness) moving upstairs and working on Imperial. VAST Horizon - episode 1 is off to mix, but that means we need to get a jump start on Ep 2 to avoid a similar crunch, and get started on our PR game!

We expected Episode one to be about 22 minutes in length. It wound up being just under 40 minutes with 62 layers of audio and 6 characters.

Kaitlin and I could not be more happy to share it with you, and hope to have an early copy here by Monday with any luck! We could not be more proud of the cast, the script, or the sound design and hope that you enjoy unraveling the mystery, and learning a bit more about Dr. Nolira Eck!

I can’t wait!! Also just an FYI. The video on the FB page won’t play. I did send an error report. Just thought you would like to know.

I just want to say that it’s really interesting to read these posts. I have a Classical music background but audio soundscapes (and creating them) completely eludes me. So, to me, reading about how you build the whole scene is a treat. Keep up the awesome work, guys!
