Hidden Work: A VAST Pitch (Patreon)

Things like sending emails, paying our cast, writing contracts, advertising, promoting, all the work of preproduction, and the like... Most of these are quite mundane. However, today we're giving a small sneak-peek behind one of the more interesting curtains of our 'unseen work'.Preface: We love making audio dramas. We have no intention of stopping. If something we do gets adapted to another medium, that's cool, but it should not impact the future of the work and worlds we love so very much.That being said, a few years ago we started looking at ways to potentially adapt VAST Horizon to a visual medium. We looked into comics, but ultimately it's a very expensive and risky field, with large barriers to publication and not something we want to move forward with again.Next we looked at film and TV. We partnered with Powerhouse Animation (who makes Netflix's Castlevania) to put together visuals to represent our world in any future meetings.As you can see, the results were amazing...From Norlira (above above), to Graan (above), to Poe (below) and to many elements in between...It's a lot of work to put together "just a presentation."While we don't currently have active plans for an animated version of VAST Horizon, we're proud of the work that's come out of this. And, it gives us some hope that the projects we love could always grow greater than their current selves.And, we would like you to know that!
