Devlog #45 - Minor Delay (Patreon)
Content
Time to share an update on where we are at. I was planning on releasing today but during play testing I felt some transitions and scenes are rushed or missing. Pacing is important and the pacing didn't reflect how I want the story to be told.
I know some may be disappointed but I'd rather put a good quality product than a mashed quick build. This won't delay significantly any follow up releases since the new scenes benefit those routes as well. Plus several scenes for the other routes also got done while I was rendering so I'm hoping for an expedited follow up release.
As it stands, all scenes planned are rendered and look good. It's transitions between them that have issues. I'm working hard to get them done. There was also one scene I wanted implemented and skipped over somehow. That will go into work tomorrow.
The scope and breath of this update is so large it's mind boggling. On the discord I've posted the new route maps. Just the Love/Romance route is now 3x the size of the entire original Prologue 1 version. This will likely 4x by the time I release with the additional scenes that need to be added for pacing.
I am planning either a follow up Devlog on Wednesday or release on Wednesday if all the new scenes are good and the pacing works. You will really enjoy the new version I think.
Storyline Continuation
That is still going on. We're at about 450 images of about 1500ish for .3part3. So I'm currently on target for this content. It is targeted for late April. This is being done simultaneously with the new Prologue1 content.
Overall the game is planned to double in size over the next month and a half.
New Features
The new internal view is slowly being implemented but has some issues. I'm working on them slowly. Same with the new Gallery. If these features are not yet ready by release they will just be disabled. They won't prevent release.
The new character tracker is coming along well. Just as the Internal view and Gallery, progress is being made but if it's not ready it will just be disabled.
Well that wraps up this Devlog. As always, thank you for your support. This game wouldn't be possible without it!
