Devlog #46 - New Prologue Release (Patreon)

Some of you that follow in the Discord chat are aware I've been slammed in real life at work. I'm behind on the making the contents of the new release. I delayed it to ensure the content was as good as I can deliver right now. The content is just that both on the coding side and the rendering side but I got virtually nothing done during the week. This weekend I'm playing catchup.

Status of the Game

Almost there. I've got a few scenes that I would have easily knocked out throughout the week still pending but I'm powering through them. All of them, except one came out great. The one that had issues is already re-rendered and done.

The love path was going to be released already but because of the busy work schedule it is not in a position to be released. I'm working on it now but it needs at least all of todays time to get done and maybe a few more weekdays. I'm working as quickly as possible.

Big Announcement

However, not all is bad. When I built my original system with a pair of GTX 980s it was the best I could build. After the water cooling incident we added a GTX 2080 Super which helped a lot. Then the game launched and I was able to add a 3090 to 2080 Super and that was a game changer.

I made a commitment to reinvest the resources the supporters give me into the computer to improve content creation. I'm once again delivering on that commitment and promise.

I've ordered a 4090 to replace the 2080 Super. This will be a game changer once again. The 1600W PSU and Threadripper 2 architecture will allow full use of the PCIe lanes to maximize both GPUs at full speed. It should arrive on Tuesday and so long as there's no issues; the first images using both GPUs will be rolling out Tuesday or Wednesday night.

There will be a followup Devlog for release and for the update when the 4090 is fully up and running.
