Keen eyes got a peek at this redesign on a color illustration lately, well here it is in full 3D glory, the Quickdraw.

This one was definitely on the edge of making it into the kickstarter, but not quite enough of a blockbuster mech to make the cut. That left it near the front of the line for later, current efforts.

Harri Kallio got the design assignment on this one. The main challenge encountered was deciding how everything should be proportioned. It's gotta deliver both chunky and slim elements. Harri did great on details.

This is also Aaron Harris' debut 3D sculpt for CGL. By now you may have also seen his lineart work on the Cyclops, Ostroc, and Spider. Or you may have seen his 3D fanart of the Timberwolf firing on a Crab. That piece got him in the door when I saw his attention to detail on accurately following designs.
More on the way from him.

This check another one off you schemers lists? :)

Ahhhhh...the Quickdraw. Not really a favourite and in time for sarna.net "Bad Mechs - Quickdraw". But also great looking. Thanks for sharing!

Ok Anthony.. gotta ask.. when will this one be available? Been waiting for this one specifically. Always loved the quickdraw

The main pic is absolutely Mechtastic!!! And you’ve even made a QuickDraw look THAT awesome! …what could your angle/background choices do for an actual AWESOME! #mindblown

Another solid update. The rear mounted medium lasers are finally represented, though I think that is a ridiculous design choice; forward-mounted RT MLs has always made more sense and been more effective. Let's not even bother with the variant that puts the MLs foward and the SRM-4 to the rear... Like others have stated, I hope these are released as minis sooner than later. Hope to see more 3D posts soon. Nicely done!

the thing that makes this a win is the arm actuators look like they can hyper extend and the ankles look like a kid chucking a snowball can shatter them I also appreciate the boxy "Plug" for the two medium lasers to face forward, though I wish that that socket extended all the way to the back, so it litterally looks like a cassette of lasers was just pulled out and flipped around

Looks great! This is a great update on the original art. I don’t think it will make me enthusiastic about *playing* with it, but at least it’ll look good. Is the revised antenna designed to echo the Rifleman’s sensor array?

Love the art Looks great

Winner. Winner. Chicken dinner!

Wooooooo. Leaving, by my count, only 3 (in words: three!) Mechs from TRO 3025 to get their redesign (Whitworth, Hermes II and Goliath).

Andrew Smith

Yet another much improved design. Nice work

Aw, look at my baby. My dumb underarmed baby. My hot-running, backwards facing lasers toting baby.

ShimmeringSword

Yeah the quickdraw variants with the ever changing rear mounted weapons are very dumb. I'm sure a lot of people custom theirs to be front facing. As it is now it's a 60tonner with the forward guns of something more like 45-50tons.

ShimmeringSword

There are a few versions with antenna sticking out the sides that help make the head more interesting. Not everyone is going to jam their own whips in, so we went with a fin set beefy enough to cast.

waiting patiently for NDA to no longer prohibit the team telling us when the next KS is....

I like the QuickDraw variant that replaces the LRM-10 with two more medium lasers, heat sinks, and some additional armor.
