Add to his previous 5 manic years of work to include "The Man Who Fell to Earth"

Loving your Bowie episodes so far. Question: Have you ready any of Chris O’Leary’s write ups? You eps inspired me to go down a Bowie rabbit hole the past few weeks that led me to his blog, which analyzes every Bowie song, lyrically and musically. Most of the music stuff goes over my head, but I’m guessing you’d appreciate it. Some are more in-depth than others (Station to Station is great, wish other favs like Bewlay Brothers had a little more insight). Early years through Station to Station are collected in a volume called Rebel, Rebel from Zero Books. Figured I’d pass it on.

This was really an extraordinary episode and critical analysis of Station to Station. I don’t think I’ve read or seen such comprehensive thematic assessment of that album before. Thanks from tackling it.

Great episode, even to someone who's never properly listened to Station to Station. Your mention of Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech in the previous ep and then the reference to Cream/Crapton in this one prompted me to check the date of Clapton's infamous "Enoch was right" onstage rant, and it seems like it was sometime in '76, so presumably before Golden Years was even written? Maybe another case of DB seeing the ppl around him (like Jimmy Page) uncannily clearly
