Where they take the made world to be murdered into numb fact; plus, the beginnings of St. Fred Rogers's rebuttal of Freudian tripartitism.

I'm looking forward to this one. Saving it for driving around Manhattan four in the morning.

Best way to start the weekend! Thanks Mike!

“I’d rather have what I’m saying be understood rather than have myself understood” is, oof. Pretty resonant. On the other hand, one part of me believes that what you’re saying is _part of you_, and it’s why we’re here; we are here to receive it (and by extension, you). This episode drove that home; via some strange cosmic wave, yesterday, my daughter chose to watch Mr. Rogers’s Neighborhood for the first time. She was transfixed; I watched her watching him, and I was slightly less afraid, for the first moment in a long while. Side note: as someone with dubious Ukrainian heritage, I was nauseated to see Bernie’s recent op-ed lamenting Putin’s threat to “democracy in Ukraine” (clown face emoji; cf. iStock Images: crying kid with gun) Thanks for this, MSJ. Can’t wait to relisten. We’re glad you’re here.

Fred Rogers almost brought down capitalism.

AJ McKenna

The track at the end is awesome!

Danielle

Why is that picture of Daniel Tiger making me sad? Was he always a sad one? It’s absurd that anything coming out of a television set could feel like love and replicate its effects, but Mister Rogers' Neighborhood did.

The Cheerful Comrade

I was just thinking a few hours ago, I hope Michael S. Judge posts another episode soon, also I hope he's okay. And we'll, here we are!

John Hardy

Another great track. Thanks Michael

My life has improved over the past few years by having access to your brilliance. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My father drank bandy, I like whiskey (cheaper the better), what's yur poison friend?

Felipe Moacyr

I hope I don't disappoint you when I talk about the shit I heard here to other people LMAO, I'm trying to do you justice MSJ!

Night Zoo

Are there legal restraints from you being able to post your unreleased album to Bandcamp? It really sounds, sonically speaking, remarkably more refined than your previous releases.

Dan Leyendecker

The movie is garbage, but the Tom Junod profile of Rogers changed my life

Sean

Not trying to sound like an asshole but MSJ has on multiple occasions transcended the podcast medium

And going to guess it’s the Jeff Erlanger episode - that exchange is so profoundly moving that it shatters and restores my soul every time I watch it. God worked through him.

“But I’m not feeling blue now” “Me either”

Robert Maynard

A standout episode and awesome track. As someone else noted, would be great to have these otherwise unavailable tracks on their own, either through actual sale or as posts on here (even on a new tier)

ChewyCheeto

Great song Michael thanks for sharing at the end and hope it gets released somehow

Brendan Garcia

Lol “Wittgenstein was such a weird fucking guy.” Thank you for that summary of my philosophy degree. “Of that which we cannot speak, we must remain silent.”

Luke

Loooooved this track so much. Fucking brilliant. Reminds me of some of the stuff off of Yes’ Fragile, which is a record I grew up on (with a keyboardist father you hear a lot of yes growing up) Anyway it fucking hits the spot, along with your words which I gotta say, hit home. Especially the remark of how you’ve made a habit of talking about things you care about to avoid talking about yourself. That made me reflect on how I act around others and how much of myself I avoid exposing to others. And the stuff about how the past and future is spoken of like it’s set in stone when it never has been. You’re much appreciated, Michael. Not many people can so clearly explain how every zeitgeist has been smoke and mirrors.

A very long time ago I heard someone sing “fools gold: when they’re semi-coloning; sell semis, La La La” Anyways, thank you for the episodes!

Biels Nohr

when are you gonna drop the DJAC NFT line

Somewhat new listener and admirer of your work here. I scrolled and saw Daniel the Tiger and, let me just say, I’m relieved to be halfway through this one and learn of your similar affections for Mr. Rogers. I was a little scared I’d learn he was a spook or behind a covert coup or something similarly awful.
