Yes this is indeed a worthwhile application of House Ivenmoth's time and resources, don't question it

Everyone loves Poak, even if they don't know it yet

Mark Simmons

Everyone loves poak! Also using the needles for seasoning is actually very cool

Avi Brandier

"...AND he uses simple, accessible cookware in a variety of ways? Well, say no more! Point me to his food, I'll give it a try!"

Thorin N. Tatge

Awesome, innovative new recipes! Who's gonna try them out and report back?

Roscuro

Using saltgrass to jerky fish is incredibly clever. Same with the needles. Don't know about the rest, but those two could definitely promote cullinary trade with the yinglets and certain city folk.

Gregory

The spicybulb needles are more reasonable than many spicy things we actually eat. Yinglets looked at a plant that burns you and thought "how can we make this tasty and not burny", humans looked at a lot of plants that burn you and thought "how much more can we make these burn (and then eat it)". The fish one sounds like a real way to preserve meat, though it may end up hakarlesque. As for the others, uh, someone else can try them first.

Gavin Brown

These are genuinely interesting food preparation techniques.

Charlie

So THAT'S how they flavor some stuff. What's the spiky fella that puff up, though? Mean little assistant!

Caerdwyn

Yinglet food looks like ingrown hairs and electron microscopy body horror.

Finvaara

My favorite part of this is that it provides genuine value, economical value, if you're paying attention. Salt grass is a major invasive species, but actually applying it to salt distillation or other forms of food preservation could be another revenue stream for house Ivanmoth. Reaping/mowing takes a little experience and a little effort, the more experience, the less effort. Even the elderly can use a scythe as long as somebody with better knees fills the baskets after them. Accessible work can be hard to come by.

Vet

A well researched article. Does show just how resourceful Yinglets are in food preparation.

BiasMushroom721

They call him Poak, cause he poke thing on stick

Awkward Dragon

Hoping for cultural enrichment about yings, not actually anticipating culinary enrichment for the humans taste, alas Seems like potentially useful advice at least for campers or explorers trying to rough it in the marshy wilds, assuming nothing involved is toxic to humans

Chrysalis

A spiky flavor is one of my favorite things to eat about! And anything that involves spending time with Poak is worthwhile. As always with carefully prepared food, I'm so curious about the process of experimentation that went into figuring out these techniques.

Simon Signal

How informative! Such a nice guy sharing some tips and secrets to cook with that Poak.

LimeAde(KP-YOSHI)

ooooh...yummy..? very interesting way to cook some foods :}

ComicTF

A culinary master. I would legit like to try these

Mist

"Fresh flob! Inna bun! Tuppence for two, any less and I'm cuttin' me own throat"

valsalia

All good recipes come from experimenting with what you got on hand!

valsalia

He has an important role to play in the food chain

valsalia

Now humanity can share in the invention of food onna stick

valsalia

Some of them aren't toxic to humans at all!!

valsalia

Ahhh a Discworld reference is always welcome

valsalia

(A distressing lot of it is)

valsalia

"Squish a bunch of stuff together and see what works"

valsalia

Most things in nature have *some* sort of usage if you get creative!

valsalia

In this metaphor the chef is the dermatologist

valsalia

This is a guy you want working your wedding catering

valsalia

I'm sure some of these could be somewhat attempted with Earth-based ingredients

valsalia

Yeah it's just plain ol cured fish (As long as the dirt you bury the grasswrap in is safe)

valsalia

There's always that one guy

valsalia

They are definitely culinary experiences

valsalia

The most important cooking tool is the fire

valsalia

Stick things inside other things and kick 'em and you're halfway there!

valsalia

He would probably make some good stuff with goat

valsalia

A *little* burny can be good for opening up the taste buds but some folks go crazy with it

valsalia

Definitely the two least human-toxic items on the menu!

Roscuro

Gotta understand the target audience.

ArrowSilverwing

Poak donairs sounds like it would be the new hot thing even among humans

Flora P-Stylianides

And humans can trade back the timeless classic: sausage inna bun

Aedric

I'm glad to be caught up with the comic; and I may have to reread more than once to cope with the hype I'm likely to experience waiting for new pages. Greatest regards from your new local Drakonid.

Lőrinc Del Motte

The whiskery huggers remind of a cross between a nettle and a sundew.
