Midnight Cowboy!!! YAS!! Fantastic movie.

Paul Cox

Thank you for this! Hopefully one of the ones with a reasonable runtime wins lol!

Backlog Andy M.

Wow what a list. The Hustler is my fav. A masterpiece. But To Kill A Mockingbird is a classic. Bonnie And Clyde as well. Bloody hell a great list!

Tinker

To kill a mockingbird in mandatory viewing. Iconic.

Ian

Had to go with the hustler for two reasons, for one it's a fantastic movie but secondly it leads to the color of money which is one of Paul Newman's greatest performances and is a truly reat movie so fingers crossed for that one

Paul Cox

FYI if The Hustler wins, you may as well go ahead and save a future spot on the schedule for The Color of Money (1986). It's not a conventional sequel, but it's official enough that it's worth seeing.

Roy Wright

All great. The hustler is my pick but can’t go wrong with a bunch of them

Mike the Ginger

Great choices, but I think a little early Jack Lemmon in The Apartment sounds nice.

Steve Mercier

This is a fucking fantastic list...The Hustler, The Apartment, and The Graduate are top tier. But, I gotta go with To Kill a Mockingbird here...just too good not to.

MattVegas

The Hustler leads into The Color Of Money ( for your Tom Cruise and Paul Newman deep dives )

Allen S.

Folks are sleeping on Virginia Woolf. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Liz Taylor at her best, whole cast is great. Mike Nichols' 1st film, a year before The Graduate.

Will Knox

To Kill a Mockingbird has been my favorite book and favorite movie since I was 14. It's such a beautiful story and I think it's a movie everyone should watch at least once 💖

Tyler Foster

Not that they shouldn't watch Mockingbird but this is one of the few recurring stalwarts among the classic films that reactors do get to. Would much rather see The Hustler, which is incredible and far less commonly reacted to.

Paul Cox

Still early going, but I admit I'm surprised at the significant lead Mockingbird has taken already. I remember after the reaction to The Omen assuming they'd recognize Gregory Peck from Mockingbird because they'd probably seen it in high school, but Sam said neither of them had! So I'm excited about the prospect of a first time reaction of that. But this will be the most heartbreaking poll in a long time because I'd be happy with practically any of these winning (haven't seen Cleopatra, but there's currently a TCM podcast about it that I'm on the fence about listening to before clearing out an entire evening to watch the film itself).

Smooticus

This is a tough list. Had to give Zhivago a vote. All are good movies

Athos Count de la Fère

I love Paul Newman, but .. I have to vote for Mockingbird. That's one of the greatest movies of all time.

Ripclaw105

You should watch all

Florian Meier

The Hustler and The Graduate are my Picks but Mockingbird is such a Classic .... Cool Hand Luke with Paul Newman is Missing

ron clint

A hard poll for sure! Each one a gem. My gav is the Hustler, with my runner up Whos Afraid of Virginia Woolf. That film broke a lot of film norms and opened up the gates on censorship. In addition, its a sad trip into a world of alcohol and despair...yet cant take your eyes off. I wont get into Midnight Cowboy, but its a Dustin Hoffman role thats unforgettable

Lou@Jersey

Hey, guys! There's a few here that I could easily choose, but I recently read 'To kill a Mocking Bird' and saw the movie, so I'll have to pick that one. I would like to offer another great movie - 'Serpico', starring Al Pacino. I know you guys would love it. I'm still pushing for the movie, 'Identity'. I hope to see your reactions to that one soon. Thanks, Sam and Daniel. Love you guys! 😀❤️

Dylan Cooper

How can you not watch 'The Graduate'? That is an absolute classic, must-watch movie that can be summed up in one word, "Plastics."

Birdie Num Num

So far The Graduate has lost 4 Drama Polls, 1 Comedy Poll and 1 Summertime Poll. Guess this will be the 7th poll it loses.

Florian Meier

Dustin Hoffman is such an Amazing Actor ... They watched 3 Films with him on the Channel, but i hope The Graduate is the next

Jeremy Charlie

As a boy I watched Cleopatra withy grandmother, other than Liz being beautiful, I cannot remember this movie.

Paul Cox

I'd hoped this would be a tight 4 or 5 way race to the finish, but I guess Mockingbird is gonna sail right through. No complaints, but this is such a rich theme.

Indy Traveler

Serpico is a must watch. Good suggestion.

Lou@Jersey

'Break Down' is another great thriller, suspense, action movie! Put that in your list! 👍

David Martin

I think I'd rather watch Dustin Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy.

YoureMrLebowski

I don't want to call it early, but I have a feeling To Kill A Mockingbird may win.
