Schmitthead Monthly Movie Drawing - WINNER - August 2025

Comments

Rokkor X

Aw I was right there haha but I've been selected before so I can't complain!

Matt

Great film but yeah get prepared 🤣😭

Paul Cox

Good winner! Congratulations, dieselbeast. Ironic that you recently mentioned only playing every few months because the chances of winning are so low 😂

Red Tail Zephier

This was a tough one to get through, all the way to the very end

Santiago Hardy

Off topic: I see Excalibur(1981) is listed by one of your Schmittheads. I hope it gets picked soon!🤞

Stephen Malloy

The performance by Maura Tierney as the mom was Oscar worthy.

Backlog Andy M.

Iron claw. Not seen it. But I remember the Von Erichs wrestling family. Very tragic!

Jen Barnes

Congrats dieselbeast, what a great film! I'm super excited to watch it again.

Opie Wan

You know you can sort the name column alphabetically. Just sayin.

Shehab Dawoud

The first winner I’ve liked in idk how long. Very sad film, but Zac Efron puts in a truly amazing performance.

Paul Cox

So we've got To Kill a Mockingbird, Amadeus, The Iron Claw, probably an as-yet-undisclosed horror for spooky season, and some more Potter for that specific fandom. September looks good!

Vincent Hollow

Ooooo, I saw The Iron Claw somewhat recently. It's incredible, Zac Efron is astounding in it. A very rough watch, but quite beautiful for a wrestling movie.

Lee N.

Congrats, dieselbeast. Saw the previews to this movie, but haven't seen it.

Chris Bruneau

congrats Mr Beast, thats a great pick!!!

EdmanXERO

I have yet to see "The Iron Claw", but I guess I'll have to finally stop avoiding it now. Haha. Time to cry together. Congrats, dieselbeast!

Matthew Maxon

congrats Beast! I love that movie

Roy Wright

Growing up in Texas and watching WCCW this one was emotional. A one and done movie. Great movie though

dieselbeast

Are my eyes and ears decieving me 👀👀 did I finally win? I was like there's no way that landed on me lol I should probably go play the lottery tonight lol oh man this is great, I hope y'all enjoy this film along with my fellow patrons! I know I did! Thank you!

Look out, Arbogast!

Oh man, this and Aronofsky's 'The Wrestler' would be an amazing double feature.

dieselbeast

Life is funny that way 😂

Stephanie

How can I get on the list/the wheel?

Paul Cox

Sam will make a post on the 2nd of next (and every) month and we all reply with our film entries. ETA: If you're on the Schmitthead tier, that is.

Logan Kerlee

It's a very rough watch, agreed. A good watch though, nonetheless.

Logan Kerlee

lol, they prolly just like sorting through everybody like that. :) Shows seniority on there. :P

Logan Kerlee

You and me both! I've loved that movie for many years. :)

Stephanie

Okay. Thanks.☺️

Logan Kerlee

The Iron Claw is a great watch! :) I'm looking forward to seeing this reaction.

Smooticus

This is a great fĺick. I grew up ŵatching the von Erichs

TBR Schmitt

We keep it the same order as the wheel in case anyone is wondering where they were at! The wheel is in order of date of comment! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Eyyyy!! Congratulations!! Can’t wait to check out the film! -Sam

Abel Salas Jr

Great pick. Looking forward to watching this again.

Birdie Num Num

I see A Raisin in the Sun was on the list. Wonder if a Sidney Poitier film will ever get on the channel(not counting Sneakers, I mean a leading man role from his peak)

Jason Dolan

I’ve been really bad about catching the post to make my suggestion LOL

Alexander Ocean

cough cough do we get the next Harry Potter this week lol
