Quiz Show is great. Cant wait for you guys to see it. Great Pick

Jason Dolan

One of the unsung heroes that gets lost in the conversation of the best 1994 movies and maybe John T’s best performance?

Roy Wright

Quiz Show is a great one. Good performances. Redford directing

Allen S.

Quiz Show, cool! Good movie nominated for several Oscars but probably would not win a drama poll. Congrats to the winner!

John Fitzpatrick

Quiz Show is a good movie. You should like it.

Backlog Andy M.

Quiz show a good one. Based on a true story in the 50s i believe. Yep i remember when it came out. Critics loved it!

Stephen Malloy

This is one great movie! Based on a true story that explores the public obsession with celebrity and how quickly the public can turn.

EdmanXERO

fallingupdownthere might be the funniest name I've seen on here so far. That deserves a win alone. 🤣

Florian Meier

Congrats !!! Can't get wrong with more Robert Redford !!! Can't wait to watch it

Mark Ultimatemusings

Congratulations Fallingupdownthere! Quiz Show is a great movie!

Look out, Arbogast!

Whoa, crazy timing! The 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire Scandal' was the featured article on Wikipedia last week. Went down the rabbit hole of Game Show scandals and got to read the Twenty-One Quiz show Scandal this movie's based on. Always heard good things about this movie, can't wait to watch it with you guys~~

Paul Cox

Love this for us! Congrats, fallingupdownthere 💥

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, it got totally steamrolled by the trio of "Forrest Gump," "Pulp Fiction," and "The Shawshank Redemption" that year. 🤷‍♂️

Chris Bruneau

Quiz Show is awesome, great pick and congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Jax

Congrats! Great choice

FYI Quiz Show placed 3rd in the Robert Redford poll and it placed 3rd in the 1990s Best Picture Nominees Poll so it does have decent support around here. Guess Daniel doesn't follow the polls that closely:) Last year you did Best Picture Nominee Polls for the 60s, 80s, 90s, 2010s. Are you planning to do one for the 50s, 70s or 2000s? The 70s poll could be stacked - it has the most famous and acclaimed group of Best Pic nominees of any decade imo.

Paul Cox

70s will be terrifically frustrating when it happens, because I'll probably want all ten options to win, so let's save it for last. 2026 has been very heavy on movies of "recent" vintage, so doing the 50s next would be a great way to mix it up.

Birdie Num Num

the 50s noms had some classics, but also some somewhat obscure titles that have sort of been forgotten. and many stuffy biblical epics - always interesting to see the trends over the decades. I bet someone will say "I've never heard of any these films" in the comments. Looks like Sam has generally only picked one film per year in past polls, hope she expands the polls a bit for future polls - I mean All About Eve and Sunset Blvd were both 1950 and From Here to Eternity and Roman Holiday were both 1953, would be rough to not have all 4 in there. While I'd be ok if all the noms for 1955 or 1956 were skipped.

David Wilkins

EXCELLENT!! Redford was a better director than actor. This has been on my shortlist for the drawing, and now I can remove it. I’m as happy with this winning, as if it had been my selection. ❤️🎬

Florian Meier

Same !!! So much classics in the 70's that they still need to see

Steve Mercier

Quiz Show! Fucking-A...it's nice when I lose to a good movie!

Guston Zimasheen

Congratulations FallingUpDownThere. Fantastic choice! Looking forward to their reaction.

Birdie Num Num

@Paul Cox these are the 70s best pic nominees that have already been reacted to. Maybe a poll wouldn't be crazy as I thought (think Network might win this potential poll based on strong support in the Duvall poll, since so many of the really big titles have already been reacted to - or maybe American Graffiti.) Apocalypse Now The Deer Hunter Midnight Express Rocky All the President's Men Taxi Driver One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Dog Day Afternoon Jaws The Godfather Part II Chinatown The Conversation The Sting The Godfather The French Connection A Clockwork Orange Patton And they've already seen Star Wars and The Exorcist off channel, right?

Donna Castellano

Oh yay! Quiz Show. What a great win this month!!

Paul Cox

Looks like our question has been answered. Network is certainly a peculiar omission, but if that gives Deliverance a better shot I'm not mad.

TBR Schmitt

Now I need to go down this rabbit hole! I don't know what scandal was surrounding WWTBAM! -Sam

Toc

Good one! Makes a good reaction video!

fallingupdownthere

Woohoo! I won! Can't wait for you all to watch Quiz Show. One of my favorites.

Scott CineRam

I think you might be the first person to refer to Robert Redford as "insane"

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, they've said they saw "The Exorcist" and the original Star Wars (along with the entire OT and PT, i.e. the only ones that matter 🤐) pre-channel. For the record, I'd consider "Nashville" the best '70s Best Picture nominee to which no one has reacted.
