FYI, Clint has retired. His son recently confirmed this.

I enjoy how Daniel has set a trap for himself, because now he can't not say "beautiful" in the intro or everyone watching will say "sup bro, she's not beautiful today??"

Athos Count de la Fère

I love the life journey the character takes, as well as physical journey from the Civil War battlefield outwards to the frontier west.

Milton Reduxed

I literally just re-watched Me, Myself & Irene which features Jim Carey doing a Clint Eastwood impression and his best ever character i.m.o

Florian Meier

One of the Best Western of All Time !!! loved all you're Clint reactions on the Channel, and as you said in the Intro he has so much more Classics!! So great to see so many Eastwood films on the channel over the years !!!

Bill the CAT

It's good to see you doing Eastwood's Hollywood westerns. I hope you get around to them ALL eventually.

David Wilkins

Great one! The story and the characters are a unique mix. The man who played Captain “Red Legs” Terrill also played the first of the two mountain men (squeal like a pig) in Deliverance. Sondra Locke (young settler woman) began a relationship with Eastwood during the production. They were together under a variety of conditions for many years, and it was sometimes turbulent.

This one has become one of my favorites, and Chief Dan George as Lone Watie is probably my favorite, he's so funny. I heard that he had trouble with the lines so Clint Eastwood as director let him improvise his lines and it worked out better, a lot of that's him just being funny. I know him also for something he said, I don't think it was a poem but it felt like one to me, it was really wise. Also that's gotta be filmed in New Mexico, I forgot to look it up but I recognize those black sand hills from a place in New Mexico near the Four Corners, saw them when I was driving trucks, and there were other areas with crazy colors too. Beautiful landscape in New Mexico.

Fletcher was double crossed by the Senator. He was paid to try to convince his men to accept the amnesty offer that was being made by the Union. He was forced to help hunt Josey as a matter of self preservation. He tells the Senator “because of what you’ve done here today I Have to kill that man.” Meaning that the Senator made it look like Fletcher was involved in the double crossing of his men. The Red Legs all held their guns on him to keep him from being able to do anything to help his men. At the end he also says that “ he owes him (Josey) the first move” after he explains things to him. He had no personal beef with Josey, he respected him.

Jason Mangen

Granny “Paula Trueman” born in 1897 two years after my grandmother. I can tell you they were both tough old birds. At the end of the Fletcher had a gun in his hand the whole time. Fletchers said Josey lived by the feed so he felt he needed to go after Josey before Josey came after him

Great Movie and watch. Check out Pale Rider next. 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe and Silverado are 2 Westerns u will love. John Wayne has countless Westerns.

Opie Wan

If we're doing westerns: Silverado, with Kevin Costner and Danny Glover McClintock! , with John Wayne. It has a couple of scenes that will probably offend modern viewers though. Support Your Local Sheriff, with James Garner (the Scrounger in The Great Escape) Rustler's Rhapsody, with Tom Berringer. The last 2 are comedy westerns.

Wayne Kryka

The actor who played Abe (the first bounty hunter) was the Great Len Lesser who played Uncle Leo on SEINFELD.

Wayne Kryka

Chief Ten Bears was played by the Great Will Sampson who played Chief in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Wayne Kryka

The actor playing Travis (one of the the guys buried to his neck) was Sheb Wooley, who starred with Clint in the tv series RAWHIDE. He is known for the the song PURPLE PEOPLE EATER.

Keith Brown

A lot of the actors appeared in multiple Eastwood films in the 70s and 80s and you've seen a number of them in other films on the channel from both Eastwood and other directors. Sondra Locke (Laura Lee), who became Eastwood's real-life companion after this film, was the vengeful vigilante in Sudden Impact. John Vernon (Fletcher) was the Mayor in the original Dirty Harry. Sam Bottoms (Jamie, the kid) was Lance the surfer in Apocalypse Now. Richard Farnsworth, who played one the Comancheros who confronts Wales when he fake surrenders, was the lead in The Straight Story. And Bill McKinney, who played Captain Terrill and will forever be known as the main Mountain Man in Deliverance, appeared in at least seven Eastwood films including an unforgettable cameo in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

Florian Meier

Loved you're reaction to this Classic Guys !!! Can't go wrong with Clint !!! You have to watch so much more Clint like In the Line of Fire, Play Misty For Me, Where Eagles Dare, A Perfect World, The Eiger Sanction .... and so much more ... For more Western i recommend "Once Upon a Time in the West" (1968) with Charles Bronson, Hang Em High (1968), Pale Rider (1985) both Clint, Red River and True Grit (John Wayne) and "The Professionals (1966) with Burt Lancaster
