I love Elvis as a singer and performer, but his acting leaves a lot to be desired. And its not really his fault as he does as much as he can with the material they gave him. His best acting movie was in the western Love Me Tender, although I also find Viva Las Vegas to be a lot of fun.

What's crazy is that not only was I one away from winning, but I also sent a message to them a few weeks back with a list of Elvis films they could put in an Elvis poll if they wanted to. lol I don't remember if this was one of the films that I included. Also sent a list of Chuck Norris films for a possible Norris poll, so maybe next time the spin wheel will choose a Norris film. ha

Wow. I think you two will at least get some laughs out of this. For what it's worth it is his highest rated movie on Imdb. My mom was a huge Elvis fan and we watched pretty much all of them growing up and this was my personal favorite. I really hope you enjoy.

Have you seen Don Siegel's Fiaming Star? Elvis is great in that. Tarantino talked about it in his book Cinema Speculation.

Hopefully you check out King Creole (1958) as well. That's not to say it's better, necessarily -- it's the only Elvis movie I've ever seen. (And then perhaps after that, around October, 2002's Bubba Ho-Tep!)

This is the 2nd oldest film to win the spin wheel(after Stalag 17) Looking up the director of Follow that Dream, Gordon Douglas - he had a pretty wild career - from directing Little Rascals shorts in the 30s to blaxploitation in the 70s with many noirs, pirate films, westerns, musicals(only guy to direct both Elvis and Sinatra) in between(along with the best killer ants movie Them!)

I've been so invested in two other 1962 movies eventually winning (The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and The Manchurian Candidate) that it's funny to me an Elvis movie snuck in the back door! I guess that's a truer representation of 1962 than either of the others lol

Woah, this will be my second Elvis film to watch! I only know Flaming Star. There's an awful lot of Elvis films I ought to catch up with (e.g. Jailhouse Rock, Kid Galahad, Viva Las Vegas)!

Another reactor I follow uses their local library to get their movies instead of streaming, maybe Dan and Sam could see if that option is available for them to avoid Will having to change his entry.

They've said they can't use dvds for reactions in the past(everyone was upset they could only do theatrical cut for The Abyss way back when and we asked about dvds etc) .
