Paul Cox

Heckuva week here

UNC

Please tell me Magnolia is dropping soon?

Santiago Hardy

Unsolicited opinion: I feel Magnolia is a bit of a lost gem of late 1990s cinema, and one of P.T. Anderson's least talked about movies. It's one of my very favorites by Anderson.

Paul Cox

Aimee Mann's music from the film is certainly still in rotation among my friends and acquaintances more than the film itself is.

Jonathan Patrick

Yes Magnolia! and for other great Tom Cruise films....Vanilla Sky (2001), Born on the 4th of July (1989), Cocktail (1988), and Far & Away (1992)

Santiago Hardy

Nice! I watched Magnolia inside a packed movie theater, during the Aimee Mann song sequence the theater was silent. Such a nice movie goer moment.

Future Boy

Everything else I had planned for tonight is now cancelled!

lol watched magnolia twice already this year after having not seen it for a decade. and of course it finally shows up and wins your poll. here we go again!! lol

Future Boy

This is exactly the pair of films I was hoping to see on the schedule this week! So excited for both of them!

penoyer79

lol cocktail. of all the great movies Cruise has done you pick Cocktail.... that's funny. i'll take The Color of Money myself.

Jonathan Patrick

lol Yes, I pick Cocktail, come on Elisabeth Shue :)

Paul Cox

Ideally, The Hustler would be watched before The Color of Money. It's not 100% necessary, but it makes it a richer experience.

Chris Bruneau

sooo excited about in the line of fire--Malkovich is awesome as the villian!!!

Shehab Dawoud

Magnolia! I can’t wait for you reaction. I don’t think you’ve watched a movie like it.

UNC

Thank you so much! More PTA soon! The Master and Phantom Thread would make for great reactions! 🩵

UNC

Same here! Been waiting on this one.

OddThomas

Woah, you wait for a bus for ages and then two show up at the same time! But what to watch first??

Josh B.

Will ya guys be doin the new IT movies and the series?

Byrd N. Hand

Another PTA film to check off. Now bring on "Punch-Drunk Love," "The Master," and "Phantom Thread." 👍 In the same vein as "Magnolia": Robert Altman's "Short Cuts." Check it out.

Tyler Foster

Yes please to Vanilla Sky, a movie that many have been mentioning in discussing Cruise's newest movie, Digger, which I think is amazing. Might be the most interesting movie that Cruise has ever done.

Tyler Foster

For me the #1 most-wanted PTA on here by a mile would be Inherent Vice. IMO, my favorite PTA. Let's see if Sam and Dan can stay ahead of it, mystery-wise.

David Wilkins

Hey, let’s roll. This is a feast!! 🎬
