Domino

Fingers crossed!

Jason Turner

I am casting a write in vote for Slither. Masterpiece.

Tristan Durant

Monster Squad! Monster Squad! Monster Squad! Your cult classic viewings aren’t complete until you add this film. 😏

mikethemotormouth

Was hoping to see Attack of the Killer Tomatoes(1978)

dieselbeast

I'll be honest I have no interest in any of these movies lol but I voted for killer clowns just because I know there's a lot of ppl out there that have clown phobia 😂🤷

Sol95

Killer Clowns is a pipe dream :(

Erwin Quiachon

You really should add "Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2" (1986). My eighth grade football team was fascinated with that movie and we would memorize and recite the entire movie during summer practice and a few years later in Shakespeare class to annoy our teacher. Another classic horror movie worth adding is "Return of The Living Dead" (1985). Both are 80's time machines.

Ian

Sam hasn't seen tucker and dale Vs evil 😮 this is a travesty and needs to be rectified 😀 therefore it gets my vote not only is it funny its also wholesome 🙂 oh wait maybe I need to rethink this nothing I vote for ever wins so should I be voting for it 🤔 damn now I don't know what to do lol anyways hope you're both doing well , the nursery is coming along nicely and the pregnancy is going well

Nick of Time

people under the stairs ppl!!

Tostito Buddy

Voted 'burbs. Tom Hanks classic. I feel vindicated The People Under The Stairs is on a comedy/horror list though. I watched this on TV with a girl I was dating in around 2005, she was terrified through the whole thing and looked at me like I was a psychopath for laughing at different parts of that movie. Suck it, Susan, you big dork.

Jax

I was always partial to Waxwork (1988)

Tostito Buddy

Gross and great movie. I wish Nathan Fillion didn't park his career in two network shows I didn't have an interest in. He could have been doing so much cool stuff since Firefly. It's good when an actor you like has a bunch of success though, his yearly residuals are probably more than my house cost. He deserves his Castle money I guess.

TBR Schmitt

Hahaha this is a roll coaster of a comment! But thank you :) All going well, so far! -Sam

dieselbeast

But as far as comedy horror suggestions, the Chucky movies but only the fourth and fifth are true horror comedys, scary movie one and two are straight up parodys which I would enjoy y'all reacting to them 😁

Alex

THE BURBS!

Richard

The people under the stairs is a underrated classic

Smooticus

I could have sworn you guys did a reaction to Tucker and Dale vs Evil! This one's got my vote

TBR Schmitt

We do want to do the Scary Movie films, but I googled which films are parodied from the first film and I don't think we've seen a handful of them, so I wasn't sure if it was worth it yet! -Sam

Jax

With that movie, we all know what's being smoked in the pipe lol. One of my faves

Adam Heath

too many great choices.

Smooticus

Drag Me to Hell is terrific Sam Raimi fun. This movie has everything: crazy old gypsy, gypsy curse, hand to hand combat in a sub compact, dentures used as a weapon, funeral crashing, grave robbing, animal sacrifice, two seances that go terribly wrong, demonic haunting, and like a half dozen other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Seriously folks, this one needs to come in first or second

dieselbeast

Very smart! Do your research, take your time if you have to watch ten of the horror movies that were parodied in those movies and not react to scary movies one and two until next year that's ok, it'll be well worth it 🙏

Duncan

The Burbs!!! ""God I love this street.""

fallingupdownthere

Was Drag Me To Hell supposed to be a comedy? All I took away from that movie is Ali Lohman can’t act a lick.

Jango Jenkins

I love these polls! You have GOT to see Slither! So funny and creepy.

Jango Jenkins

THIS. I think this is a great strategy! Parodies are so much better when you're actually familiar with the source material. Definitely check out the Scary Movie films after you've watched a few of the movies it mocks.

Jango Jenkins

Return of the Living Dead was great! Love that Michael Jackson zombie, lol.

Jango Jenkins

YES! You read my mind Jason! I literally just posted about Slither 1 minute ago, before seeing your comment. So hilarious!

Erwin Quiachon

LoveLaurenn has a hilarious reaction to Return of The Living Dead. She had never even heard of it before. She really got into it.

Jason Turner

Directed by the great James Gunn, no less. It was a flick that totally took me by surprise the first time I saw it—just so enjoyable. CHEERS!

Samolina Pilchard

Regardless of the vote, you guys need to watch Creepshow. Although it definitely has comic elements, i'd say it's more straight up horror. Inspired by the EC horror comic books of 1950s. Five tales of terror from the masters of horror Stephen King and George Romero, What's not to like?

Ken Veader

Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein is such a great (maybe even the first?) horror/comedy. Would love for you guys to react to the classic Universal Monster films, they hold up so well

Michael Buhl

Return of the Living Dead should be on this poll.

EdmanXERO

I concur. It's been one of my favorite Craven films. It probably won't win but I hope it's reacted to down the line.

Brian Sevilla

alot of these movies are more horror with a comedic element here or there... that being said the whole comedy horror genre is pretty sparse....dead alive is more troma than anything..if you're gonna go troma comedy the Poultrygeist has that wrapped up in a musical.

ShadowVessel π

I think I just realized my favorite genre of horror. Lol

Paul Cox

Always regret having to vote for something one of you has already seen, but Tucker and Dale is totally the best movie here. Hope it wins, even if by a thin margin.

Mr. Writhms

Most likely they both haven't seen any of the 80s movies listed. I'm willing to bet Dan has seen Tucker and Dale. LOL

Paul Cox

Correct, they mentioned it in the header: "NOTE: Daniel has seen Drag Me to Hell & Tucker and Dale vs Evil, so this will only be Sam's first time watching!"

Natureboy Sugaray

Stephen Geoffreys as Evil in Fright Night is hilarious 😂

Mike Miner

If Tucker and Dale is off the table because Daniel has seen it, then let's go Creepshow! Stephen King (not only wrote but is in it!) Leslie Nielsen! Ted Danson! Ed Harris dancing like a total weirdo! Comic books! AND George Romero directing??? More campy, classic Halloween fun I cannot imagine.

David Crabtree

A lot of great choices on here, but my absolute favorite of the bunch is The Burbs! Although Monster Squad, Creepshow, and Fright Night aren't far behind.

David Crabtree

Once Bitten with Jim Carrey would fit well on here.

William 1611

I never considered "Drag Me to Hell" a comedy, although it's a pretty good horror movie. "The Witches of Eastwick" is dated and pretty pointless, unless you just can't resist Jack Nicholson. "Planet Terror" is a lot of fun, and I voted for it. "DeadAlive" might be too gory for YouTube. But my most enthusiastic vote goes to "Tucker & Dale vs Evil," a movie I didn't expect to like, but which is a gem! Just thinking about it makes me laugh!

Mike Miner

The Burbs and Fright Night are both a hell of a lot of fun too. Just hoping to drum up a little more support for Creepshow!

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Hi Daniel & Sam, may I suggest some lighter fare that is also suitable for October. The films :- (Arsenic & Old Lace 1944 comedy), (Harvey 1950 comedy/fantasy), (Bell, Book & Candle 1958 comedy/romance). The former stars Cary Grant, while the latter 2 star James Stewart. Also, the more modern (Practical Magic 1998 romance/fantasy), starring Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman & Stockard Channing.

Jeffrey Miller

Even though it'll never win a poll, you need to put 'The People Under the Stairs' on the watch list. My dad rented it and I watched it with him and I thought it was really weird, but neat (I was like 8) but then I watched it again years later as an adult and I was able to enjoy it even more, especially I was able to understand the little bit of political satire and who the main villains were supposed to look like lol.

Florian Meier

I hope "The Burbs" wins, love this film, one of my favorite Tom Hanks ... love also The Witches of Eastwick

Brandi Mills

I know it's old and in black and white, but please please please watch Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein. It's a classic for a reason and it's freakin' hilarious.

Sergeant Pepper

I'm rooting for The Burbs - but I have to plant a seed here for you guys and anyone else that hasn't seen it yet - regardless of how well it does on the poll - The People Under the Stairs - sooooooo fucking awesome its ridiculous. If I was rich I would just give you a million dollars to watch it (provided you didn't take the money and run - you'd still have to keep the reaction channel alive of course!)

Nick Thousan

Tucker and Dale is thunder but Tom Hanks biggest sleeper by far is The Burbs.

Catherine LW

My sister was in the army and has coulrophobia (clown phobia) and on her birthday her squad made her watch this!!! 😆

Look out, Arbogast!

It's getting trounced in the poll, but I'm sending some love for Witches of Eastwick. Directed by George Miller (Mad Max films), starring Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon, and Jack Nicholson in one of his most unhinged performances as Darryl Van Horn.

Ron

For the next comedy-horror poll, I'd like to recommend, "The Frighteners," with Michael J Fox and a *lot* of familiar faces. Directed by Peter Jackson just before The Lord of the Rings.

Mr. Chumpus

If the Burbs doesn't win, I gotta claim election fraud

Future Boy

About a 9 on the tension scale, Mr. Chumpus.

Mr. Chumpus

No tension. Gotta go with Hanks. Haha

Future Boy

Just in case you missed it, that was a Burbs quote, not me being a wiseass!

Duncan

it is rumoured that the Schmitts teach Cooper to crap in all the neighbours yards ,just so they can maintain the best garden on the street

Brandon

I'm so happy The 'Burbs is leading rn :)

Mr. Chumpus

I totally missed it! It's been way too long since I watched the movie. Another reason why I hope it wins.

Gary A. Neilson

I voted for Dead Alive, but you should also consider Bad Taste. It's Peter Jackson's first film. What it may lack in production value, it makes up for in its gruesomeness and hilarity. BTW, Peter Jackson plays two roles in this film. A few others I would recommend: Deathrow Gameshow, How to Get Ahead in Advertising, and The Toxic Avenger. The first two are likely hard to find. I don't think either are any streaming service, but all 3 are very good.

Neal Romanek

Dead Alive! Early Peter Jackson and so over the top.

Elisa Pfau

I was cry-laughing when I watched Tucker and Dale with my wife. Hope it wins! Never seen The Burbs but I'm curious about it!

Florian Meier

Oh no, "The Burbs" was the whole Time in Front :) Please make a double Watch ;)

Tostito Buddy

Oh wow, are you THE Ted Sheckler, of Ted's Movie Review Emporium?!
