Erwin Quiachon

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is more of a horror comedy than a true, straight, horror movie.

Nick of Time

I know it won't win, but please please please sleep away camp.

Ian

Voted for IKWYDLS I mean it's not going to win any Oscars but it's popcorn fun 👌🍿

Brad P

I went with Halloween II but I also highly recommend Psycho II.

TBR Schmitt

You should be able to vote for multiple if I did that correctly haha We'll be keeping the comments in mind for the rest of the months selections too :) -Sam

Charles Gaba

Sleepaway Camp is run of the mill except for ONE. SHOT. IN. PARTICULAR. 👀

dieselbeast

My childhood voted for child's play two but I do also want y'all to react to X 🤦lol

Brad P

Voting for more than one wasn't working for me at first but it is now. Thanks!

TBR Schmitt

We'll be keeping the comments/voting in mind for the rest of the month's selections! -Sam

Erwin Quiachon

Sam!!! Take it easy! Remember deep breathes and focus on Daniel's nose.

fallingupdownthere

I recommend ignoring the rest of the scream movies. One was great, the second was okay and the rest are garbage.

Brad P

It's not exactly a slasher (although it was very influenced by Halloween) but It Follows is one of the best horror films of the last decade.

Ken Veader

The lack of love being shown to Sleepaway Camp and My Bloody Valentine, two of the most iconic slashers of the 80's is wild, I do however appreciate the love being shown for Psycho 2, underrated

Ken Veader

Nah its got a bunch of good kills

Robert Boyd

Actually, all of these are worthy slashers, but definitely put PSYCHO II on the list for October. It’s a must-see.

Dee Aitch

Not a fan of the genre, but I did vote for "I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)" just so you can get the references in "Scary Movie".

Tostito Buddy

I thought 4 was good. The meta talk was incessant but the surviving original characters were fun to see again.

TBR Schmitt

We haven’t seen the original IT yet! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I like the strategy involved! 😂 -Sam

Brad P

It's OK! It Follows is something completely different from Stephen King's IT.

Brian Sevilla

I agree ..i actually saw It Follows at a film festival ...but its not something for everyone, people expecting alot of gore and blood are usually the kind of people that dont enjoy it

Edward Reaney

If you don't do Halloween 2 ... it will be a 100% travesty. It is AMAZING and 100% better What you did last summer.

Paul Cox

I can definitely get behind an It Follows write-in campaign!

ShadowVessel π

I can't believe I Know What You Did is winning. Well...

Mr. Writhms

"Halloween II" and "Psycho II" should be automatic for spooky season. 😛

Paul Cox

X is as much an early 70s exploitation homage as it is a slasher thing, so I'm okay with it not being reacted to during spooky season. A double feature with Pearl (or even a triple feature whenever MaXXXine comes out) would be super fun.

Paul Cox

Sometimes the Patreon mobile app acts buggy where multi-choice voting is concerned. Usually works right in a web browser, though.

Future Boy

Yes, just to confirm, "It Follows" from 2014 is nothing to do with "It" It Follows might be my favourite horror film from the last 10 years. If there's any modern horror on the channel this Halloween, I hope for It Follows!

Future Boy

I REALLY hope you find a spot for Psycho 2 this Halloween. I'm confident you'll both love it more than the first. It's a truly unique approach to following up the original. It's my favourite horror film, my favourite sequel in any genre, and may have my favourite ending to any film ever. Also, this year is the 40th anniversary of Psycho 2's theatrical release. I am desperate for you guys to see it! P.S. Halloween 2 is great too!

Brian Anthony

Original Prom Night, with Jamie Lee Curtis,is another good slasher.

William 1611

All of these are respectable slasher films, but none of them really grab me. Everyone will have their favorites, but the only one I'd recommend is "X." It actually has a story!

Neal Romanek

Psycho II is really nicely done. And Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is iconic in its craziness and introducing horror star Bill Moseley to the world. A brilliant, early slasher, that came out the same year as Psycho is the British film Peeping Tom, made by genius director Michael Powell (Powell's wife Thelma Schoomaker was Martin Scorsese's lifelong film editor)
