WOW (Patreon)

Over the course of the writing career that I've bothered to type (meaning from 1987 on... earlier than that, I still have a lot of the notebooks, but most of it isn't worth counting except as practice), I've written:

3 million words of fanfic

664 thousand words of original fiction

Longest incomplete work: Only Human (Star Trek fanfic), 380 thousand words

Longest complete work: Aite (Gatchaman fanfic), 79 thousand words

Longest complete original work: Night Fell On Laestra, 70 thousand words

Longest complete unchaptered work (published all at one time, written as one whole): Your Possible Pasts (Star Trek fanfic), 49 thousand words

Longest work written in shortest time: The Descent of the War Goddess, 18 thousand words. Chronological writing time was 1 week, but in fact 17 thousand words were written in 11 consecutive hours in 1 day, during which time I also had to make lunch and dinner for my kids.
