I don't think Myne has the strength for that slap. Fran stepping up preventing Myne from going ballistic, and probably also stopped her guard knights from doing something rougher. The last few episodes really feel like this season hitting its pace better than the first few. As an LN reader, it's really a rich and tightly woven story and there's just no way they'd have the episode count to get in all the details. I think the anime is doing a good job given it's goals, but for those maybe sitting on the fence, I'd highly recommend picking up the LNs.

First time reading the books i was ignorant of what flower offering ment. And seems like that mayor is an epstien for nobles. The writing gives an angst of something intruding onto the life myne wants to live.

One of my favorite things about Bookworm at least during this part of the story. Is how she interact with her former family. Where they have to be so subtle as to not violate the magical contact they sign.

This arc is one I really love for how it challenge Rosemyne as a character. With her sense of morality as we learn how this world function more. Because it all is pretty well though out then just people doing evil stuff because they felt like it

Among the things that got dropped from the LN is that the discussion about sleeping separately was that she did not want to sleep in any place that could be reached by men. Discussion was made about using other room of the building, but it she rejected it for that reason.
