Jaydon4life

This is definitely an interesting series, hope to see more reactions.

surprisingly deep with the subject matter but clouded with humour to hide and cope with their pain

Without A Net

That... well that was certainly a thing. There are some questionable things. Like I dunno watching her shit on the toilet was a choice..... But I agree. The addiction/life ruining stuff feels really accurate and painful in the way you watch someone destroy their life. But I also don't know if its something that I would continue to watch? she immediately went back on that late night call to her sister about quitting. Which if they did something to show her wanting to actually quit, an interesting show could be seeing her struggle with the addiction and overcoming it. Trying to better herself. But I don't get the feeling that is gonna be this show. Kinda like in Bocchi the Rock. Bocchi wants to better herself. To change the way she is. And even in the first episode we see those first steps being taken towards that. I don't get that feeling from this show at all.

thats why I like it cause addicted people usually fall back quickly and like NHK this isnt a show about happy endings

omg that's why i had a "bad" feeling watching it, the show was trying to make me laugh, but i had a wierd sensation while watching.

I'm not sure about that one... It kinda hits home. I have a similar issue with food ... no willpower whatsoever. ... I kinda want to watch it ... And kinda not ... XD

In my case I just have Zero motivation. Need work... sure but no faith in jobs being attainable ya know... so no motivation to even try. Your issue may be similar to gluttony mine most definitely is Sloth/Melancholy. I found what helped me cut back on eating was to simply tell myself I had to wait a certain time frame. I just kept increasing the length until I found I could not push more. That or try eating slower to savor it more. It might help encourage the change you seek. I wish you better luck with the control levels you seek. Otherwise do not let it damage your self image. Outside of health there are no reasons you might need change. Sorry if this is to personal; I wanted to share and help.

Uh.. what a strange anime. That cat girl is really ugly- in behaviour. And I feel kind of bad for her, but even more for her sister. This show had no appeal to me, but when every person I follow did react to the first episode, I had to give it a watch. Still can't decide if I regret it. Well it wasnt boring.

Thats a crash pad not a home thats for sure. I roomated with a friend one time and they did a bunch of crazy stuff. The point is they were not as bad as this cat girl. The house was never trashed and the air was ventilated well so was never an issue. That is to say I know people that do hard drugs that can keep there life together better than her. Now thats sad. True showing of the death spiral Drugs or Gambling can send you down when you become your addiction level of down the wrong path. I hope we see her reduce her smoking count at least by seasons end.

I only see this going downhill. Not the show.

ya hard to blend humor with peak depression but they nailed it for me

Welcome to the nhk does have a happy ending so who knows maybe this cat girl can get rid of her addiction

YOSHINO_SALEMM

Hits a bit too close to home mate, and that's great

Absolutely agree with the Welcome to the NHK comparison. Honestly, this episode litterally made me clean my house and finally buy that workout equipment I'd been planning to get for several months. I'm just a little sad many people seem to dismiss the show as just gross-out humor, though the marketing might be to blame a bit.
